Hi,

I'm new to ethOS. I created my USB bootable in Mac OSX following the instructions from the ethOS Distro knowledge base. I plugged in the USB (USB 2.0 slot) on my motherboard, chose my Kingston DataTraveler 16GB as the primary boot device. When I started my rig, it seems like the initial boot process is not working. I just see a blinking cursor on the top left menu of my screen. I waited up to more than half an hour and it seems like nothing is happening.

Some notes:

- I plugged my monitor via HDMI to the only GPU that's connected, also tried plugging the HDI cable on the motherboard's HDMI slot.

- There's no way for me to plug the GPU to the PCI16 slot. There's an AUX power outlet and cable on the motherboard that's hinders me from inserting the GPU directly to the motherboard. I used a riser instead. I know someone who setup his ethOS using a riser during the initial setup and it worked for him.

- I enabled the Compatibility Support Module (CSM) on my motherboard. Prior to doing this I couldn't even see my USB device as one of the list of bootable devices. At least I can conclude that my motherboard detected the USB drive.

Questions:

- How do I validate that my USB has been setup properly? I can't check the contents of the USB on my Mac and Windows (device not recognized).

- On my motherboard CSM settings, is the ethOS USB considered Legacy or UEFI?

Thank you.
