mining bitcoin with CPU is possible, but it is complete waste of energy.

I dont want to discourage you, but with bicoin mining you have missed the train already. Bitcoin is now mined by big companies with high-tech hardware and ordinary people cant really beat them in my opinion.

Not really a vet either but almost a year... last year this time you could get buy mining bitcoin with your video card.  Once ASIC's started flooding in the difficulty got so high that you would be lucky to break even mining with your video card.  CPU mining is way out of the question even with free electricity you are just wasting your time.

Now, if you are not mining with ASIC you are SOL, even many of the ASIC miners are not all that great any more.  Right now you need about 33GH/s to make 0.01 BTC a day.  Unless you got a fat wallet and can afford expensive equipment your best bet is to try the trade game or mine alternative coins like LTC on your video card(s) and XPM on your CPU.

Hi, I m not really veteran, but i have been mining scrypt coins for a while on graphic cards.

Hi
I am new to mining
and have a 60 GH/S BFL mining Equipment, using Slush pool
I would welcome any tips and suggestion that helps me become a veteran.

thanks

If you have set up your miner correctly for your mining Equipment that's it. Now you just check from time to time if your mining is still profitable = that you mine more than you pay for electricity ..

I read the article on techcrunch (http://techcrunch.com/2013/04/08/how-to-mine-bitcoins/) and it seems like you don't need Mining equipment to use Slush Pool.

Hey Mahvys,

I new to Bitcoin all together and want to begin mining. I read the article on techcrunch (http://techcrunch.com/2013/04/08/how-to-mine-bitcoins/) and it seems like you don't need Mining equipment to use Slush Pool. Is this true? I know you posted a question for veterans but you seem to have a leg up on me with equipment and Slush pool. I just want to pick you brain and also hear what Veteran think about mining from a CPU through Slush Pool and GUIMiner.

Thanks  Smiley
