What time frame, difficulty change, etc. have you used in your estimate? Are you thinking about a theoretically infinite amount of time to find a block or is it a discrete, finite amount of time, say 1 year (after which most likely the compound increase in probability will be negligible, anyways!)

I didn't know if I had to have a wallet address since I am connecting to bitcoin-qt in server mode. I made a .conf file for that app.

Hope I'm lucky? I don't really see the point of not using them if my computer is on all the time anyways. Still want to hear what people think of buying an antiminer s3 or s4? I just want to run one. Not sure what power supply to get for the s3. Could I extend the power supply from the computer I have on already? Its a 750 watt coolermaster power supply.

Assuming you are using a regular psu it will be one ugly looking thing. You could do it if there is enough power and 2 separate pci-e plugs. I have never seen anyone do it I would think about psu for just S3 if you have a extra around.

I have a couple of antminer u2 devices. I have successfully got them to mine on bitminter. I'm wondering how I could solo mine them? I tried to download bitcoin-qt, but it is taking forever to update. Is that what I need or is there an alternative?

I'm also wondering if a Antiminer S3 or S4 would be worth playing with at .09cents per KW/h here in Oklahoma? Is there a particular place that has more favorable pricing? I found one seller that had the S3 for $260 new. I wasn't sure what power supply I would need so that is why I was considering a S4 since it comes equipped.
