Sounds like you think the Eruptors are Antminer U1s to be running at 1.6G/hash each - did they get sold to you as 1.6 G/hash capacity or is that your own mistake? Being scammed seems to be the common issue with BTC atm.

With these block erupters if you're only wanting to learn they are fine - 2.5w x4 is hardly going to make a massive dent in your elec bill - swap out a standard bulb for an energy efficient one and you've pretty much saved the amount of electricity - its when you're burning 4kw and not making a profit that it'll become an issue.

Don't forget to amortize the cost of the solar system over the expected life of the system (generally not more than 20 years as I understand it).

Generally, if you expect the price to go up: it is cheaper to buy & hold Bitcoin.

or you have solar energy to use up!

or hook a generator to your exercise bike. There's plenty of ways they can still be profitable.

So it looks like it was a power issue. As noted above the 4 making 1.2-1.3GH/s is correct (they won't do 1.6). Unfortunately they now burn more in power than they generate in BTC and they're considered obsolete.

there designed to run at 335 each so getting 1.35ghs each is pretty good. not sure where you got 1.6ghs from there a completly diffrent USB device and have a minimum of 2 chips where these are 1 chip devices. the ones you have look like there ASICminer USB Blockerupters (the first of there breed) 1.6ghs are made by different company

You can normally run one miner per USB port but i wouldnt recommend it.

Get a decent USB hub with a power pack of 2A minimum.

If you plan on getting more get a 10 port USB 2.0 (if you plan on using a Pi or similar to run the miner usb 3 wont work)

It is being detected, but the last column shows Hardware errors under HW - it's 100% which means currently it's not functioning correctly.

The 2nd one is either dead or not getting enough power (cheap USB hub). Try plugging it directly into one of the USB ports on the back or front your machine and see if it will work.

hi i recently bought 2 block eruptor usb miners online. i plugged them into a dollar store usb hub that doesnt rely on its own power supply (bad idea i know). the lights both turned on and i installed bfgminer. the only way i can mine is to go into cmd.exe and type in

but when i do tht one of the lights on my miners goes off and then blinks ever so often. the other one has a light on and blinking sometimes. when the bfgminer program appears...it says that only 1 has a hash rate of 292.2 mh/s but the other is at 0? and i dont know if im actually mining or if its just running.. please help
