Does this device even exist? I was looking at the ASIC site and I'm not seeing anything like that.
Hi, it seems that USB miner is not going to happen because high difficulty will punish small devices.
nevertheless - it might still be interesting to have a small mining device - around 10 Ghash per sec,
the price will be higher, but more competitive.

the cheapest gigahash TODAY can be bought for about 3.45 BTC, given that, and will only be worth ~.28btc come modern ASICS (Come being the questionable part) so, if at the end of august, with no other alternatives, id probably be willey to pay 2btc for a 2 GH device

Make a calculation when you reach ROI based on the following variables:
- price of device
- hasing power
- future difficulty
- energy consumption (dont forget, that power supply units are not 100% effective, only between 70% and 90% !)
If you have a usb miner, don´t forget to include the energy consumped by the computer thats necessary to plugin the usb miner.
- price of energy
- uptime (can you guarantee >99% updtime?)
Moreover, mining for profit also means you have to look after your miner. There will be a constant psychological pressure on you! You have to automatically check if the mining operation works as expected. If the miner stops working, you need to go home and fix the problem. Every minute your miner does not work, is a loss of money. Include this fact in your calculation/consideration.

If I were one of these ASIC miner providers I would only provide what I have in stock rather than take pre-orders, the reason no one is ordering is because you're acting exactly like BFL.
hmmm... I see nobody is interested - and yet - hundreds are ordering old avalon technology for 80+ USD - strange world we live in 
I'd be keeping my eye on AMC/Active Mining to see if they come into this space personally. Unfortunately they will probably be looking to do their bigger boxes first

In order to have the same ROI as a KnC it would need to be around $40. Are you planning on using bitfury chips? 1 chip is 2.7Ghash and for july delivery it's $108 per chip, but if you wait until October you could get around $20 per chip. Might be practical at that point.
