The Casascius 1oz 10BTC Silver Round (w/ Gold B)
The system deems this all as one transaction because it was sent by the sender that way.

Sendmany's are rare and are often used to do bulk distribution of bitcoins with minimum transaction fees, it also cuts down on the number of kb's the transaction takes. I load casascius coins with sendmany.  The idea that one transaction contained 0.004 to you - even if spread across 4 transactions - is a reasonable view for a client to take, that is how the network sees it, it is one transaction on the network of which 0.004 is yours.

I want my name changed, too. People think I have a whole in my head.

So, 4 x 0.001 tx from a single originator each of which were sent to 4 different addresses. How is it determined that 0.004 is shown as a single tx and how does it determine that it was for the 1EW.. address? Just because it is first?

and does this accumulation apply to other clients not just the mainstream client.

Were you sent 0.001 by that same person at the same time to different addresses?

That transaction is a "send many" transaction. If more than one of the transaction outputs goes to you, they are lumped together into the same transaction by the satoshi client.

So far I've found 0.004 from

208 | Not yet redeemed | 0.001 | 161167 | http://blockexplorer.com/address/1EWutuYe5kkpfQ8KuNhwgDuzbau2sWzYFo
223 | Not yet redeemed | 0.001 | 161167 | http://blockexplorer.com/address/1FZ5GXuoJ4VkRqY7ri26kQs3iM633dS9kT
224 | Not yet redeemed | 0.001 | 161167 | http://blockexplorer.com/address/1G8c9NzvyrU8p97y9WMkNfncoquoUeuXyq
317 | Not yet redeemed | 0.001 | 161167 | http://blockexplorer.com/address/1P7yR6FL9NyXPTw6t8ZygJTQJpzgZzWT1R

should I try each of the other keys from the dumpwallet output to see if they contain the +.003?

Hi,

Using the bitcoin 0.5.1 client, with a new bitcoin datadir and blockchain I had 0.001BTC sent to one of my addresses, and there are no other transactions.

The client shows 0.004 for that transaction.

The client shows no other transactions.

pywallet -dumpwallet shows no other transaction.

Blockexplorer shows the address as having 0.001BTC.

a -rescan does not change this. What do I actually have and how can I find out? I'm running on Windows.

Regards,
