This is a really good idea for corruption.
The most adequate political idea that I have read in the last 2 months.
Do you think it's real?
If so, I will make a cash contribution to your project.
Why don't you take the lead?

Corruption is a cankerworm that has eaten dip into the fabrics of almost all our institution in the world and for corruption to be stopped everyone has a role to play. First and foremost, people should ensure there is a past  track record of each and everyone they will vote for via using blockchain distributed network.
People should know about all the fund allocated to capital and non capital project and as well know if the project allocated worth the money.
There should be a strict rules and regulations enshrined in blockchain technology of which each and every leader must obey once the leader disobey as a result of corruption he will face the charges.

I used to think that blockchain technology could assist with fighting corruption. Not anymore. In theory I guess it could. Whether anyone actually uses it effectively to do that is another question.  For a community that constantly talks about transparency, accountability, and self-regulation, the crypto ecosystem (and especially ICOs) are incredibly corrupt. If they aren’t willing to self-regulate, who is?

Hope this reply of mine won't be deleted, because it is my opinion and I don't care if it is interesting for someone or not. In my country we have a quatation "all new is good forgotten old". So a working way is the hardest punishment that allows your country. Sure the fear of that well stop the corruptionists

I think corruption should fight by enforce monthly payment of rent. I think government should pass a law for tenants to pay monthly rents to their landlord  inorder to carry out this policy and make it succeed also government should build more houses to create a competition in the property market

Corruption is not only about bribes, People especially the poor get hurt when resources are wasted. That’s why it is so important to understand the different kinds of corruption to develop smart responses.

Please do share ideas how to (NOT sarcastic!).
Some of the people that I know could use some sophisticated ways to resist their govts.

Yes you have spoken well, Surely transparency and accountability at all levels should form part of the response? If the citizenry and the media can't tell what's happening, how are they to expect more sources of corruption? There should be an enforcement of rules and regulations, but only if they work. Building strong, transparent, accountable institutions that citizens can trust is surely crucial, and trust is the foundation of legitimacy.

From my life experience it's a vicious circle: people feed the corruption because they don't want to do things according to the rules, and corrupted power keeps coming up with more rules to make things even more complicated and involve more people into corrupted activity. Not sure if there's an end to that, but if the fight was to start I'd say it should start from bottom up (ie by people refusing to give bribes). But then again, in many parts of the world it does sound like "Mission: Impossible"... It would take real maturity of the society to get to that point...

New ways to fight corruption include majorly ensuring that the country has a data base that has every one that is within the country's territory data so that they can get their Bank Verification Number, and run a single treasury account because Governments have vast sums of public money to spend  and this can pose a serious corruption risk. By keeping tabs on government expenditure, you can help shed light on how your country’s taxes are being spent. In my country, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation that is ran by government has over ten accounts just in N.N.P.C alone and this makes accountability difficult.
Making sure that every institution that has to do with fighting corruption is strengthened by law.

The only way to stop or fight corruption is to strictly enforce transparency on all transactions made by the Government. Everything must be 100% accurate and transparent. The process should also be shortened so it will be easier to trace back or check files. The longer the payment process, the more you can be cheated. The government knows about this but they seem to ignore it because they are the ones earning from PROCESS.

To my view the issue is on the correct application of rules and regulations and the sanction against those who do not comply to these rules. If people firstly concentrate on the respect of rules and régulations that govern the entity (family, enterprise, government, Council, country)and systematically apply sanctions against those (whoever they could be regardless of their rank, grade or cast) who depart from thèse rules, corruption will disappear without any other additional remedy. We need to change the paradigm.

This is a good topic to discuss, since today is the current local election day period in the philippines(May 14 , 2018). I will be giving my opinion for this topic based on where and what am I currently experiencing.

True that this is one of the problem, Ironically what is currently happening in my country is that people who were protesting are actually paid by a certain politician(or some sort of syndicate) to destroy the image of the opposite party.

Thanks for your opinion but actually this doesn't solve the problem. I can still remember there were one time that there are certain group of protesters who were asking for a house. They rant over on a certain place that is a government property who's currently building free houses to homeless people but haven't distributed yet. This protestants occupied the said houses. Now there were certain debates if the government should allow it or not and luckily the government was convinced to give it to them for free. And then a few months after this protestants are planning again to have a rally saying this words " what are those houses for if we don't have something to eat".

Now that what actually triggers the other citizens. So the point was this protests actually doesn't solve the problem because most of them will start to demand too much that makes the other citizens opportunity to be served by the government becomes unfair.

Plus most of the people who complains about how corrupt the government are was also the people who voted them on the election because they were paid. It just boils down to us voters in the first place. If we have the discipline to vote the right person then we might decrease the corruption in our country.

We do not need intelligent government officials, the more knowledgeable that official the more corrupt he is because he knows the ways how to escape being caught even while being corrupt. We need someone who has the passion to help the poor people and educate them, not someone who just gives money just to be elected.

I argue differently, to fight corruption requires only the understanding of every state official.
"It's politics, not business, so take your share and start doing business out there with yours."

clever state officials, I think such an understanding is dominant already understands its officials, and they are like that because they do not want to work hard and start a business outside,
they are already comfortable with the income of business in their country, to eradicate such things must have power over corruptors and create an efficient and tight system so that when they do corruption it can be neutralized bit by bit

I want to make myself believe that still corruption can be eradicated through a certain means. On the other hand, I couldn't take away the fact that it is not only in the hands of few others, it is in the hands of all others. We cannot achieve change if it is only working on by small number of people. Hence, as for me, though I think that it is not new idea on how to fight corruption, I think that we should start first in voting for who is right and well-deserved. Who has the academic, moral, and professional excellence. Someone who is righteous. I believe that is the best way to fight corruption. And of course, we must be aware onto what is happening in the government and the soiciety so that we know what we should do next.

It bothers me a lot so I had to let it out.
I don't need to explain how much corrupt goverments hurt the entire planet.
I want to figure out how to bring down corrupt governments efficiently.

I'll write down few steps, not necessarily in the right order, some of them are bad, obvious, unrealistic but nevertheless...

One of the major problems is that poor people can't afford standing in protests all day because they will lose their job and put their family at risk.
To solve that problem, the leaders will have to supply them with enough funds.

Find passionate leaders and educate them how to efficiently chose who needs to get paid.
Teach them how not to get caught by the government and make sure they teach the protesters.

Contact the businesses of the protesters and let them know about the upcoming long protests.
Offer a reasonable amount of money if they disagree to let their employees protest as long as needed.

Possibly offer money to the corrupt businesses that will try to help the corrupt government.

Possibly educate the police and offer them money not to participate in silencing the protests but to make sure there is no unnecessary violence on the streets.

Make sure there is enough food to keep the protesters strong.

Identify the weakest points of the corrupt leaders, for example try to bring their family or at least friends to go against the corrupt leaders.

Perhaps combine the blockchain ideas that "aidcoin" uses to make the donations transparent to minimize the money loss to thieves.

I'm not smart enough to do it myself but if it reaches the right people they will figure out how to make it work.

If scam coins are raising 8-9 figures then a cryptocurrency that supposed to fight corruption should earn at least something.
I was born in a country with a very cruel dictator in power, this subject is very close to my heart but i'm far from smart enough to do something about it but if you do then please.
for the love of mankind, do something to stop those people abusing their power.

As long as human institutions are managed by individuals, there is bound to be corruptions but we can fight corruptions by making sure that the running of the our institutions is not left for officials affiliated to the ruling government, some of the opposing members should be appointed to high postions.

Maybe it can also be referred at the Economics section also because there are lots of people who are really interested gathering more information on how to prevent or resolved corruption in every each countries. When we say corruption this might be seen in any government politicians as what i have observed, i don`t actually have enough information about it but it seems like it all happens to all countries in the world.

How about creating stiff penalties?

Example, any public official caught taking bribes gets 10 years prison time for breaking the publics trust in them as elected officials.

I guarantee you, you have a couple of people thrown in jail for long periods of time will be a wake up call for the rest to step in line.

The fear of a lengthy prison sentence does wonders in scaring people into not breaking the law.

If you're talking about preventing corruption, I think the most effective way is to make the incomes and lives of all politicians transparent.
The politicians all take about transparency yet they come into office and they do the exact opportunity what they campaigned for. And to me the best way to fight corruption is by death the same way that the Chinese have been dealing with this problem for such a long time and it’s working very well too.

In my country there is this one politician I really like. He implemented this idea. He encourages citizens to be vigilant and observant on their government officials whom they know, of government official employees to take picture or videos of their extravagant lifestyles secretly and submit it to the official in charge and the said government official will be investigated and if they are found to be corrupt, 25% of the money or properties that will be recovered will be given to the whistle blower.

Here in the Philippines, the best way to fight corruption is to showcase their corrupt deed in social media.

The mainstream media these days is easily manipulated by the government or by the opposition who wants to destabilize the government, and with social media, it makes it hard for them to control the flow of information.

People conducting rallies here in the PH are now getting paid to voice out their concerns, and this is the reason that most of us hate what they do.

Things easily get viral here in the PH especially when unfinished projects are being called out by concerned individual netizens.

Publicizing corrupt deeds in form of memes in social media is the best way to counter corruption and it involves little to no fund at all.

Currently, indeed, corruption becomes a serious problem in every country. One effective way to fight Corruption is to punish the perpetrators of corruption. This is a deterrent effect for others so that you think 1000 times if you want to commit corruption. In China Death penalty, and impoverishment, is levied on corrupt perpetrators. So the number of offenders can be suppressed. This could be an example for the government of other countries.

a) Free media.
b) Much bigger incentives for whistle-blowers and people who expose corruption.
c) Increase the transparency in the government perhaps by voting for politicians who will promise to hire people that will check every dollar that comes to the pocket of the people in power.
and much more can be done.
If you have ideas, please share them here.

Corruption exists a long time ago. Since the Roman Empire. Greediness causes corruption and sadly, it became a Culture..Solutions like citizens protesting or changing transitions in the government that can solve the problem of corruption is proven to be ineffective,  I'm not sure but i think we're way past that.. There is none in the entire history of mankind that could prove that there once was a government that experienced an honest and a transparent one.
People are capable of doing good and bad things and it all came back to "Choices". Good governance depend on the "Person" who will rule and serve the people, either stick to his principle of fighting corruption or be a corrupt one. It's nearly impossible to avoid the clutches and grasp of greediness especially when there is money involve. there are still a few honest people but its like 1% of the population.. LOL..We have laws that could punish public officials if proven guilty in the government but are still not enough. Jail time is not enough. Corruption is in our nature. and if there is a corrupt government, private businesses and investment follows as well. And it will affect the economy of the country, rise of poverty and the people will only suffer worse.
For me, a better solution would be to impose death penalty for every proven corrupt politician  in the government for them to be reminded of the consequences of stealing money and that will be their fate if they choose that path. Afterall, they should've uphold their sworn duty to serve and protect the people with honesty and integrity .
To be an example and follow the Rule of Law .They should always remember their oath. And lastly, citizens must choose wisely on  picking a candidate, study and learn their track records and choose what you think is the right person for the job.

I can't figure how to solve this problem.
Even if 100k people on the streets, eventually the corrupt leaders don't care.
Because I know the country i'm talking about might go into something like Syria if the leader is a real psycho.
Can anyone give good examples of how it worked in different countries?

Another idea would be to do horrible things to become a snake to prove the other snakes your one of them and suffer years undercover before you can gather enough outrages evidence to bring all of them down. Something like "Anas aremeyaw anas" did and perhaps still doing.

Unfortunately most of people in this world still use fiat. Most of fiat transactions are not recorded. All cryptocurrency transactions are recorded so people alwqys able to see where the money go. It is impossible to fight corruption alone. You have to unite with many people, in my country there is an independent institution that oversee the use of state money. The official institution also exist. But against the corrupters is not an easy job. They can make terrible conspiracy.

India has taken some measures to counter this. In India, it is illegal to keep more than $8,000 in hard cash, without the necessary permits. If you are found to be holding more than that amount without permission, then the entire amount will be seized and will be returned only if the owner can show that the money was earned legally.

Some people think a bribe works like magic, they believe it can do anything that is why they use it as a bait for people to do what they want to do, to fight corruption is to admit that it's a sin that has to remove form anything and to anyone unless we recognized it that way we think its ok. but the truth is it's not, if we want a strong and prosperous nation we should be responsible and accountable to anything we do wherever we are.

To fight corruption, established a values formation in each department in the government, remind them, cultivate in them and motivate them the importance of integrity and honesty in a person's life, raise their salary fairly and impliment transparency in each transaction they  engage with, and commend them whenever they did good..i guess there's a need of personality development in them.

Key ingredients to fight corruption, Government must promote transparency and access to information, Countries successful at curbing corruption have a long tradition of government openness, freedom of the press, Transparency and access to information.

simply way to fight corruption is,.. never participate in it although that sounds ridiculous and  may think who would do that now a days?.. if one really wants a good country...for it to change... starts with you..then down to your family...peers..friends..office mate and community, it take godly person to do that.. I guess in addition to these, we need transparency and honesty in every transaction, some think is possible but it can if one is really sincere and eager to do it.

The people there too oppressed to do something without major incentives. Please try to come up with solutions, most comments here are not very helpful :/

Almost all of your points are about bribery and professional protesters... If people are fighting for a cause they shouldn't receive money for that, otherwise they will be just mercenaries. In the end, police and all other sectors of society are citizens too and must be persuated to join forces by the ideal behind the movement and not by bribery.

And we must be very cautious about it, because it's not always that protests are legit and have loyal ideals behind it. Some of them are leaded by other corrupt people to cause chaos in the country or just to defeat one corrupt party, but to put another corrupt one next...

It's a very complex subject, not so easy to deal with it.

Lets take a dictator from Europe for example.
Theres at least 100 passionate leaders that want to bring him down.
Every leader is capable of bringing 10-10000 people with him by using social media and other tools.
First, they can use hidden private networks to communicate and form a plan.
Then they launch a coin which will get a little bit of funds, I assume at least 7 figures.
This money should be enough to get to some politicians, police officers and convince more protesters to participate.
I assume a lot of people will be beaten and jailed and those will be rewarded according to their contribution which might raise others spirit.
Now the problem is, even if the corrupt leader steps down, there is not many better alternatives but at least people no longer feel oppressed, there is hope.

I know it looks very unrealistic but if there is a 0.0001% chance that someone really smart and passionate will see it, perhaps it will spark much better ideas in his mind.

you are all just a bunch of freaks, the very concept of "government" is undividably interlinked with a standerdised national (meaning lingual) financial center,

cryptos are against the very concept,

now even if our friend here that suffered during his life from a "dictator" for example simbabwe, tries to create an "aidcoin" to problem is weather the entire production chain worldwide is going to support it,

and this is also quite difficult because even if you can understand someone you dont know weather they will "believe you"

if you have problems with a "dictator"

simply find yourself a new dictator, like a religious community, i bet the pope would be happy to replace your dictator,

soon they will have their own money too

The best was is to provide or become decentralised but as you know power rules your mind when you come in contact with it,so it is not easy the government of certain country will accept decentralised nature.even the countries with largest democracy greatly suffer from corruption , corruption is not just of money but abuse of power given to some elected representatives.we need e-governance to provide better transaction of procedure.

I think that corruption can not be defeated. Corruption is inherent in human nature and as soon as a person has such a possibility, be sure that he will use it.
It cant really be defeated or nearly impossible to removed because its always been part of human nature to be greedy and when they are on the position or do see the chance on doing such thing then temptation is really on high chance that it would be done.In result it would really be still committed for those people who are on the top.

I'm taking action in my own small world. If you know a bigger group that have the same idea in mind I would love to join.
For many years I was all about transparency but I'm afraid the only way to reduce corruption is to reduce transparency, specially when it comes to people in power.

This is only possible for federalism type of government which I do see the some transparency and don't expect for big groups to fight this, there might be some but doesn't really completely make an impact to completely stop it.

Honestly, it is unfortunate that the corruption is very widespread in the entire world and it is one of the biggest problems in this era. As well , it exists in most fields and this has caused economic problems in many countries ( especially   the poorest ones ) and delayed in the culture of many of them( particularly in Africa and Asia ).

On the other hand, the ideas must be implemented through actions rather than providing solutions only.
I guess that there are many ways to fight this corruption and it will be as this following:
Trying to reduce the proportion of bribery because it is very high in some countries.
Many fields must be monitored in the whole society, and all laws against corruption should be implemented and must punish those who resort the corruption to achieve their goals.

Very great speech to be honest. But I am sorry to tell you that being optimistic and positive for too long will get you nowhere. Those people already have power. If you want to surpass a monster, you should be a stronger monster. That means if you want to take corrupted people down, you should become corrupted too.

We have been taught since we were kids that good would win in the end. But when you relate it to the reality, you find that evil is always winning and there is no end to it. Mankind has already lost to their greed and selfishness. Everything is gone...

I know it's wrong but in some countries the situation is so extreme that perhaps you need to do whatever it takes.
I was just throwing ideas in hope that someone really smart will read them and perhaps come up with a much better plan.

Wouldn't this be a form of corruption as well? Giving out money isn't always the solution to a problem - especially to corruption. A country isn't corrupt just because it is poor. It all boils down to the system and the morals of a person. Even with all the riches in the world, a country still become corrupt. Offering money to the police so that they won't silence protests or make sure that there is no unnecessary violence in the streets won't guarantee good results; the police may just choose to pocket this money and a clear practice of most politicians.

Today, the problem of corruption is extremely important and urgent in the political, economic and social life of both Russia and the whole world. Each of us knows what it is, and perhaps many have already experienced bribery in practice. The fact is that corruption exists in almost all spheres of society, it manifests itself in a variety of forms and types.

Unfortunately corruption is endemic world wide and not limited to under-developed countries. In the UK give enough to the governing party and you get a knighthood or similar; and of course if you are in a good job in government and you retire or loose your seat then you get a nice well paid directorship.

Hopefully one day a universal decentralised currency like Bitcoin will take the power back to the people.
