In as much as many of us has heard of new years resolution, we know even if we partake, we sometimes don't achieve them or go half way or loose the zeal by either February or March( for the very disciplined people).

This post is to first of all say Happy New Year to all the members of the Naija Board, welcome to 2024, and secondly to motivate each and every one of us to achieve that which we couldn't last year or a new goal we've set for ourselves this year.

Research shows that when people talk about their goals or things they want to attain and achieve to other people, they get motivated to really achieve those goals. Cause it's like, " I have to finish what I've started. This person/ people must not see me as a failure" and it also gives a sense of support from that person/ those people. So, feel free to talk about whatever goal you have for 2024, and have it at the back of your mind that the members of the forum( even though you don't know most of them) would be rooting out for you.

As for me, in 2024, I have lots of goals to achieve, but they can all be linked to one thing, FREEDOM. In 2024, I want my freedom. Freedom from where I am right now, the people around me right now, the situation i'm in right now, and in order to attain that there are about 5 different goals I need to achieve.

This was actually my goal for 2023 cause I finally reached the age I saw myself as independent, but I couldn't achieve it. Now, I have another year and chance to get what I want and I'm not going to blow it, neither should you. My motto this year is consistency, because whatever you consistently put your mind to do, you would excell in and achieve.

Feel free to write down what you want to achieve this year in the comment section, and as you do so don't forget, we'll all be waiting for your success story.

Thank you, and Happy New Year.

It's not just to write out goals every year, you need to know what you want out of life and start doing it without waiting for the beginning of a year when you will make bunch of resolutions and set unrealistic goals that you won't be able to follow it up within the next two months.

The new year should be used for improvement and doing personal assessment to see if you are doing the right thing or not, don't use goals and regulation to tie yourself up not to experiencing the loads of possibilities that awaits you.

Sometimes it's even best way pray for God to help us fulfil the plan he has prepared for us in the year. No go de write wetin you no go fit keep.

Na true my brother, no be matter how written our goals wey we dey plan achieve we should also pray for having the opportunity to do it, many people Don plan many goals for 2023 and them no reach 2024 with us, the first thing wey we go do be say make we thank baba God for letting us see another year, no be by our power, no be by our mouth, and also no be by our money na him make us dey alive today, sometimes we dey plan for many things and even half of it we no dey get, that show that we no get any power to make our goals fulfill, the only person wey get the power na him be God, and our prayers be say every time wey we plan to do things make God dey answer our prayers.

Drafting a new year resolution is a  brilliant idea to begin with in this new year, perfectly draw out plans and have them at the front of your mind, let it be the biggest and greatest sounds of music you sing and rehearse every morning.

Discipline is one great attribute to achieving ones set goals, many people do get carried away by many things on making it happen considering how life is full of pleasant and unpleasant surprises which may alter the plans we have.

Consistency is another, keep trying countless times despite the failure, we ought to learn from our mistakes and keep trying till we get it right, its a good thing we actually beats our chest after the long run after achieving our laid down goals even though not all at least we made a move, but with the few we achieved will be enough to brag about.

The idea of setting goals from the beginning of the year it's a nice one, but is left for you to achieved your laid down goals before the year runs out, for sure, there are many factors that might hinder you from achieving these goals you've set aside. It is left for the disciplined minded person's to accomplish these goals, also with God it's possible

I used to set goals in the past but it didn't serve any purpose because I used get diverted within weeks and once again towards the end of year I used to think I will start working towards the goal from the upcoming year and never really achieved it. Hence, this time I have not set any particular new year resolutions or goal but rather whatever I plan to do I start working on them immediately like started working on accumulating Bitcoins which I have already started since last year, having work life balance and etc. I don't think any particular time is important to have resolutions.

Well I don't actually believe in such things although it's quite personal but I feel its just me trying to deceive myself because I have tried it and it isn't actually working for me so I just tend to flex it out and live my life the way I deem it fit and of course let mature to take it's course in the pattern of my life cycle. Well for people to start up the years with something like the new year resolution are person that are actually discipline to some level and I think they do achieve but in my case it doesn't just add up as I do go back to my old deeds.

First of all a goal without a plan on how to execute it is just a wish, we as humans we mostly fail in our goal because we fail to put in the work.
If as I am now I have a goal I really need to achieve, then I have to draw my plans and put them in writing, so that I can checkmate my performance monthly, weekly or daily how am working to make it comes to reality.

As for me this year my goal is to gain more financial stability and reconcile myself back with God, because his presence is all I need, and all I need is in his presence.
