This bitfinex working was a surprise, only did it just after the post. Was able to transfer XTZ and convert to BTC. Most ory value on binance is that n XTZ. Will try to send BTC to my CB account later and if it works problem solved, if not it's accepting the risk of a fake or making my Canadian employee register my account under his name. If either of those latter 2 failed the money gone for good .

Need to find a decent alt platform that doesn't care about USA/NY regulations. Bitfinex might be the one, just need keep the winnings off there before this happens again.

Yes I'm pretty much asking just that. If Binance is just requiring you submit the docs and images I would just photoshop something, I dont need to steal someones identity just need to be in binance long enough to convert the coins and send them to myself. I just did a trial with Bitfinex and that worked, need to figure out how to convert the coins there and send to my CB account.

It's riskier if you will do it with Photoshop. Someone close or related to you can do that verification but there might be a chance that they will look at your used IPs. Already consider contacting the support on that matter? As you said, you just follow the instructions but got that service error on the way. They might allow you to push for your withdrawal using your real IDs as your account isn't that active within the timeframe they discontinue their service in your area.

It will be a tough decision on your part but as you have mentioned, you already did that crap on Bitfinex so you now have experience dealing with that situation.

Anyhow, there's no other way so need to decide for yourself. In the first place, you already accept the risks and prepared to kiss your money goodbye if the process will fail.

You could just make the situation worse if you'll do that. There's no other thing that I can think of but this suggestion below.

If you have no personal data on the exhange you could ask someone trusted to do the verification for you and withdraw those coins for you for a fee but this also isn't without a risk.
If you've got friends in other state where Binance.us is licensed, ask them nicely to help you with a commission for doing that.

I' ve had funds hijacked come close to being hijacked for same reason as I am faced with Binance and their US operations. The way I got to Binance was bought XRP on Gatehub>Polo>Bittrex>Binance

Like you said the fake ID route would be last ditch, if that fails I'll just kiss the money good bye. I've been invested in crypto since 2015, with my gains 0.25 BTC is insignificant.

Are you asking if we will advise you to break the law and get a fake ID? Cheesy

It's common for exchanges to hijack your money. It happened to me on poloniex and bittrex. Polo after a year or so removed the requirement and allowed me to withdraw my coins but bittrex stole what I had there. Not allowing people to withdraw crypto is theft.

If you have no personal data on the exhange you could ask someone trusted to do the verification for you and withdraw those coins for you for a fee but this also isn't without a risk.

I don't know if being honest with your location is going to be better or worse in your case. If they find out you were trying to register with a fake ID they could ban you.

Created the account years ago and haven't used it much but there are some alts in my wallet worth in total about 0.25 BTC

Binance.com is no longer operating in the US. When I log in I'm prompted to transfer my coins out. When I attempt to do so I get a terms of service error. Maybe it is because I am not verified, however I'm afraid verifying with my real ID and location will only make extraction more difficult since I am in New York USA.

Just so you know Binance.us is not licensed to operate in New York.

Registering with a fake ID has been suggested, but I'm worried about doing that. I only need to get in once to convert coins to ETH and transfer to a legit Coinbase account. Total value  of alts in the Binance wallet is only 0.25 BTC
