Can you tell me if i did the right process though. there is nothing more in electrum i would need to do?

If i right click on the recieveing address , there is an option to 'request payment' i didn't know if i needed to do that as well to make sure it got sent to it.

Total newb questions i know but there are quite a few bitcoins so important to get it right

thanks

Did the address you gave to Coinfloor is present in the "Addresses" tab? And you did not import any keys?

If the answer to both of above questions is "yes" then you don't need to worry as the coins should come to your wallet. Make sure you keep back up of the seed though, which is very important.

Do this, click on the History tab, you should see your Tx there, right click on it and select "view on block explorer" then it will open a tab in your browser and you can see your transaction there and if the fee is right or not.

If there is no tx there then Coinfloor hasn't sent you your coins yet.

I'm not experienced with Electrum, but from what I know I'm pretty sure you don't need to touch the request payment at all when it comes to these. You just get the receiving address & use that on websites. If the site is legit, you should get your funds after it gets a confirmation (can take seconds-hours)

Request payment is one of the addresses of your electrum itself, you do that when you're requesting special payments like 0.045 BTC and then it would give you the qr code for that. But you can give some one that address too, it's nothing to be worried about.

ah yes i see that now thanks

But i can see that is has 0 transaction.

Although i note that coinfloor say they process 3 times per day..so many just need to wait

if i gave the address to coinfloor then i assume it has to end up in the account anyway?

If coinfloor is legit, it should eventually show up. Wait a bit or contact them and ask for the transaction ID if you think have waited long enough. From what you say (now TX shown for the address) it sounds like they did not send the coins yet.

Last block was 27 minutes ago, so it's possible that it just hasn't been sent out yet or it hasn't been confirmed/picked up. SNOULD take a few hours, good luck Smiley

To get a txid (seeing as you have the address) just go to Blockchain.info/address/[address here]
Post the link here, if there are no transactions that means you did something wrong (or it hasn't been picked up by Blockchain. Usually it's instantly)
So just post your address here & we'll check for you

Do you mind posting the TXID of the transaction? You can get it by double-clicking on the date, then selecting the Details menu option. As far as I know Electrum considers transactions fully processed after receiving six confirmations.

hi,

I am new to using electrum and need some guidance.

I have sent some money from coinfloor to my electrum wallet. Coinfloor just asked for an address to send the bitcoins.

I got the address from electrum , by going to the receive tab and saved the transaction. I set request expries 'never'

Do i need to do anything else? The request is 'pending' - maybe means coinfloor hasn't sent the money yet.

I'm worried i have not done something right?

thanks for your help
