So as the title says, I'm new to the bitcoin thing and I have questions
Which one is more preferred for a beginner doggy coins or protocoins?
What are the current exchange rates for both of them?

:> thanks for answering.. :>

What to mine depends on your specs and the block rewards. I'd spend some time researching coins and mining before you jump right in.

A good guide to all the alt coins is: http://www.wheretomine.com/

I have a few android devices , is there any good miner for Android?

I wouldn't waste your time mining on a phone. You'd be better off just trying to buy some cheap coins or trade for them.

no problem,

As for android miner. the only one ive seen that actually hashed was ARM miner. But I honestly wouldn't recommend mining on your phone, the hash rate is far too low to be effective and the amount of stress put on your chips is not worth the rapid deterioration of your phone.

Check out: https://www.cryptsy.com/

As for easier to mine, the comparison isn't exactly logical.
Proto is CPU mined while doggy is GPU on scrypt.
With lw hashing you can get plenty of DOGE, but the exchange isn't that great.
While PTS is exchanging at high value, but very difficult to get a good quantity without investing in some good computing power.

That being said check this post out to get started with proto mining, it will give you an idea of what to expect: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/no-coding-guide-to-mining-protoshare-with-windows-azure-make-50-for-free-347212

Thank You. I appreciate your time, you helped me a lot.
