I'm new to this Bitcoin talk thing, I'd like to sell some electronic goods but I'm not sure exactly how to get a good rep with the people on here. Can anyone help me?

hello welcome on board Cheesy
I suggest to the rank newbie like you, for buying and selling in this forum use an escrow service to transact with your customers. And after the transaction requested positif feedback from your customers.

if you want to sell electronic goods you try to switch kesitus sales and the possibility of your goods sold there ..

If you have time to spend. Start a thread and find users who are interested in buying electronic goods in exchange for bitcoin.

You are going to have to be the one taking your time and waiting if you are going to sell on here a looking for a good rep.  You first need to offer what you have for sale and deal with an escrow account.  You will want the people to go over your product to verify you are selling good product before the funding is released into your escrow account.  Make sure you also tell them what you are selling in full detail.  Good luck.

Make a topic on digital goods section and if you find a costumer you can use Escrow in this forum, pick popular escrow. Escrow is a middle man that help you for transaction and it's can prevent scam.

Welcome to Bitcointalk, Paullary23!

By selling digital goods as a newbie, you should use an trustable escrow. There are a lot of escrow services offers of Legendary members in the Service Section. It will cost you up to 1% of the amount. Sometimes it is even for free.

Well, reputation is something that is built up over time.  One can't expect to "start" with a good reputation.  On this forum, in general, one can look at the trust ratings in a member's profile to determine how well they are respected.  My advice to you would be to provide a thread to your service on the "Goods and Services" sub-board under on the "Markets" board.  Over time, if you're product is good, you'll gain respect and your reputation will proceed you.  Trust farming is highly looked down upon here, so just be straight up and you'll be respected.

Okay, thank you so much for your help!

Anything you do on this forum, you should check the escrow thread area.

You always check the trust showing the + that symbol so they are repped. If you do purchase or sell anything without it, youre asking to get scammed.

What if I plan on selling like accounts to computer games or currency in video games? How would I go about that in a secure fashion?

Sorry that's actually out of my area of expertise. I know the steadfast rule here is "if it's illegal, it's not allowed", so if you're trying to sell cracked games or access to hacked accounts I wouldn't even recommend trying (I'm NOT saying that you are). IF it's something that YOU own and can re-sell legally? Then just use escrow as I mentioned above and try to put potential buyers minds at ease with the transaction is the best way to approach it. I have seen issues here recently with people selling game accounts and then reclaiming them after the sale, so I'm not sure how long the "dispute process" is for these game accounts or anything, so maybe agree to allow escrow to hold funds for "x" number of days after the sale is complete maybe? Just do your best to PROVE you actually own the goods you're selling and that you're not looking to sell & reclaim, and you should be fine.

Use TRUSTED Escrow of bitcointalk for any transaction ( list of trusted escrows is here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcointalk-escrows-trade-safely-855778 )

Accept Bitcoin

If you're selling PHYSICAL Electronic Goods?

Put a post-it or some kind of label with your bitcointalk username on it with any pictures provided of the actual items you're selling.
