You could also mine quark bar coins. It is a CPU mining only. I have not mined this coin so you have to go here to figure out what to do.

pick up cudaminer for your Nvidia https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ann-cudaminer-ccminer-cuda-based-mining-applications-windowslinuxmacosx-167229
will work much better than your CPU on any scrypt based coin

Also, look into Keccak algorithm coins (SHA-3), such as Maxcoin and 365coin, as it will consume around 60% of the power than scrypt coins, making them much more profitable.

Hello everyone. I've toyed with the idea of trying out Bitcoin (as a hobbyist, speculator). I've got a gaming rig that sits here a lot of the time, and I'm obviously a bit lazy so I'm a bit late to the game. Today I got my start, and found the charming TROLL COIN (trl) altcoin (Shitcoin, not intended as an offensive statement). In any event, I'm really enjoying myself so far, and I've made about $0.01 in the process.

I guess my question would be (since TROLL COIN has a built in Solo Mining option that is running on my CPU when I start it), is this a feasible way to mine alt/shit coins? As a hobbyist/speculator, I don't have the funds to go ASIC/FPGA or buy any specialized hardware, nor the patience to wait 70+ years to reap the rewards of my mining enterprise. What's the best way for someone on a next to nothing budget (just the Nvidia/Intel based gaming rig I've got) to enjoy the coin hobby?

Anyways, I wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm excited to join "the scene" as a hobbyist, I've subscribed to /r/CryptoCurrency and I'm told this Bitcoin Forum is another great community. Thanks, and if you've got some trl laying around, hook up a fellow TROLL!
