Right:

Using the Bitminter beta 1.5 one of them (listed as Big Picture) is now working - albeit at only 2.3 Ghash.

The other one still doesn't work. I have a feeling it is because it might be the fact that the usb head was bent when I got it. Something is obviously faulty with it.

Bitminter Beta came up with a link for the Virtual Com Port drivers.. Which seems to have sorted this little problem.

oh as for bitminter it is the lastest (auto update) version I am using. The BF1 sticks are in my mobo's back panel usb 2 ports.

Now, it might be something to do with the legacy usb setting, I don't know. That is why I am on here to ask. Due to the "restriction" I am forced to ask here rather than in the proper section.

I think once you become a Jr. member you can go out of the newbie section.  So you can post in other sections now!  Smiley

I don't know if it is the latest version.

I'm using the bat file from the mediafire download of bfgminer for that BF1.ini file because Windows doesn't know what to do with the blue fury sticks.

The BF1.ini file allows Windows to see them but even with the batfile having the following code:

bfgminer.exe -S "BF1:all" -o stratum+tcp://mint.bitminter.com:3333 -u username_worker -p password (taken my username & worker out for here)

It just will not see the blue fury sticks.

I've been through the Blue Fury support thread.

I think it is disgusting that you spend as much as these things cost and there's no instructions for them, no proper driver and no troubleshooting for it.

If this is how the bitcoining world operates it's no wonder so many people look on it as a con.

Yes, update to the nightly build. That'll fix a lot of problems.

Did you use the latest stable or the latest beta of Bitminter?

The latest Beta might solve the problem. Otherwhise when you are allowed to post further on othere topics, ask in the Bitminter fora.

Hi all.. Newbie here Smiley

I've currently got 8 Erupters running on a 12v 4am hub.

I have an old socket 775 pc I'm using for my 24/7 bitcoin rig.

I've added a couple of pci usb cards to it for extra ports for when I can eventually buy more.

Now I've gotten hold of 2 x Bluefury usb sticks.

Took about an hour to get that BF1.ini file to be accepted as a driver for them.

They are being seen in printers and devices (and are ok under device manager)

However, when probed in Bitminter they just time out.. BFGminer doesn't even see them (the ordinary program or the one from the bluefury support thread that comes with the BF1.ini file)

My computer specs for the rig are:
Asus P5Q SE PLUS
8GB G. Skill DDR2 1066 5-5-5-15 RAM
Intel Core 2 duo E8500
Gigabyte 7770
Small SSD boot + 2 older, not so big sata 2 hdd's
2 x 8 port pci usb/firewire cards (4 usb ports external, 1 internal + 2 firewire ports)
Corsair HX750 psu
Thermaltake Element G case

(reason for the specs = older components & was planning on selling it)

OS = Windows 7 Pro 64 bit with SP1.

I've tried these sticks on multiple ports and in the hub.  They simply cannot get past the "probe com # XX timed out" problem.

Have also tried them on a socket 1366 pc in both usb 2 and 3 ports. Exactly the same problem.

The red LED is lit up.  What do I need to do to make these things work? Or is it my bad luck that I've gotten 2 bad ones.
