Golden rule: invest only what you can afford to lose mate. That said you can go with small investments on the top 5-10 coins on coinmarketcap.com and wait a year or two. If you don't trust smaller projects go only for BTC, ETH, XRP even if everybody throws shit at it.

To crypto's and bitcoin? yes it is worth if you do know how to hold and when to sell.

You can use it to purchase goods online only if the merchant is accepting bitcoin but you can use purse.io if you want to buy something with bitcoin.

Blockchain is one of the important technologies right now, I believe it is worth to invest it. As a newbie, guess you may first make some research first about how crypto is related to the blockchain. Different ICOs are developing their own blockchain technology, no matter for application, for privacy, for transaction, etc. They offer different functions that to improve our live in some way. If you are also interested to know more about the current trading, you may search for which exchange is good, while you should not put a huge amount of capital as initial investment amount, it might be risky. Observe more, ask more.

Blockchain projects has lots of potential ways to be used, each with their own functions and use-cases. The issue is just that currently only a small percentage of cryptocurrency projects are actually usable and being used. Most are just pure speculation(as of now, at least).

Are they worth investing in? Do your research and decide for yourself. I myself think that investing in blockchain are definitely worth it, but it's definitely risky.

Yes, there are real uses of cryptocurrency especially in our lives. If you really observe the Announcements threads, there are bunch of ICO who has a working product and sometimes they use their own token to make their product to work or in order to use them.

In the Phlippines, BTC, ETH, BCH, and XRP can be converted into fiat currency [PHP]. Since, Philippines does not fully regulated cryptocurrency as a payment method, there are group of Filipinos who finds a way in order to convert these cryptocurrency in a Fiat currency. Furthermore, Philippines have also a centralized exchange called CX.

Be educated! Learn enough about it then you will discover the wonder of crypto!!! ONe amazing thing is that I paid using crypto on the internet to get what I want without using a credit card!!! Since I can't afford it with my current job, that is only one fact about crypto, learn more by reading around!!

Of course it's worth investing in.
You can buy Alpaca socks. I have dozens from 2011, as that was one of the sole things you could buy at that time.
I could be millionnaire, but I chose that having my feet well protected and feeling hot was better.
So now, I can feel better every winter with my Alpaca socks ! Grin

Its worth to invest but mostly for long term as in short therm its too volatile.
You can buy TV/electronics, furniture and more in overstock shop online for example from what i remember, then you can buy coffe and street food in many places, you can buy hardware wallets, pay bills sometimes, you can use crypto in many places.
