Are you sure? I just checked my wallet and Electrum shows all address you have on Addresses Tab along with some receiving and change address in advance after last address which involved in a transaction.

Besides, i don't see any option to show only specific amount of address on Addresses Tab

I don`t know how much address will be show, but certainly just a few. Each derivation path is able to generate millions/billions of addresses.
I just thought that it is safer to use that console function, because he might have generated an address in some weird way and it might not be displaying.

Electrum won't know about addresses it hasn't derived yet so both approaches do the same job. They search the list of addresses that have already been derived. The GUI one is just easier for most users.

Users are suggesting that you may have somehow created another wallet.
To be sure you are using the right wallet
Go to view > show console

ismine("12frz1zeVY4yHB4rNpPzBFkfnFqUEGTDBu")

To be sure that address belongs to your wallet.

you know they can do this more easily in the gui with ctrl+f on the addresses tab.

No he can't, because that address tab do not search for more than 10 addresses by default.

Not sure if I'm phrasing this correctly, but I moved BTC to an external, non-electrum wallet. So I don't know how to check that using these instructions. The coins show pending at receiving wallet, yet showing the higher amount before I increased the transaction fee.

No matter from where you had genarated your address since its bitcoin address. When you send bitcoin address it should show on bitcoin blockchain. Not matter which wallet or exchange are you using. Third party might take time they would wait for specific conformation. Usually most of exchange credit bitcoin after 6 conformation. Its seems your transaction were took 980 conformation and then completed transaction. When you will see at least 1 confirmation that mean you bitcoin already exist on the block and it will confirm. So no need to worry about it.

If you want to know more about confirmation then you might read this article. Bitcoin Confirmations

You will first have to confirm which version of Electrum you used to do the transfer. If it is version 4.0 then you are in trouble.

If not, then where did you try sending the money? As in which wallet?

If you have the pvk for that other wallet, or the seed, trying sweeping all your funds into a separate working wallet and see if you can spot your money.

Then your issue is not with Electrum. The coins have been sent from your Electrum wallet and confirmed on the blockchain. The issue is with your receiving wallet. So, what wallet were you sending to? Huh

If it is a website based wallet (like an exchange, or gambling site etc), then you will need to contact the support for that site to find out why it hasn't been confirmed as no one else will be able to assist. If it was another software wallet, what wallet was it? Huh

You are right, I see more than 300 confirmations

What version of Electrum are you using??
Update it from https://electrum.org (be sure you have your seed backed up).

Old versions do not sync, so you will not be able to update your balance.
You are probably fine, do not worry.

Be sure to download 3.3.8 version.

4.0 is a SCAM version, be careful.

Thanks everyone! Trying to figure this out...

So, after hadn't used electrum for a while up until a few days ago, I discovered that it wouldn't sync and downloaded the current version 3.3.8.
I am using the same wallet and can see my complete transaction history. Also, I am def. online!
The receiving address says amount "pending" for days. My transaction was stuck unconfirmed so I increased the fee. Since then - one confirmation after the other, but bitcoins not showing.

If you are using Electrum 3.3.4 to 3.3.8 you might be having some connection issue.

Check this image below.

You can find it at the bottom right if it is red it means the server you choose is not online you need to click the circle and set it to "select server automatically"
But if it shows green and shows no transaction history possible you use a different wallet or you sent bitcoin to a wrong BTC address.

Try to check the File>Recently Open and maybe you accidentally created or use another wallet from your Electrum.

yet the money I moved using electrum is not showing up in wallet.

From Electrum, on what wallet did you send your funds?

Is this the receiving address you used? 12frz1zeVY4yHB4rNpPzBFkfnFqUEGTDBu

This is clearly a problem with your software wallet. It's most likely not syncing due to poor network or because it's an older version that is no longer supported and needs to be updated.

If 12frz1zeVY4yHB4rNpPzBFkfnFqUEGTDBu is the actual address you wanted to send the BTC to, then there is no need to worry about it being lost. You could also try importing the seed phrase to the mobile version of electrum wallet since it also synchronizes so fast.

Hi all,

I would be so thankful if someone could inform me what's going on with this transaction (this has never happened to me before):

cd37dc238673a2780130de8d23e3cbb885a3a1b543b58eb3fb051cd0e746f48f

Over 300 confirmations, yet the money I moved using electrum is not showing up in wallet. This has been going on for days.
How do I retrieve my coins? And where are they?

Thanks so much,

Kamy
