Hi.

Quick question.

Is the R9 280 more or less the same as 7970 ?

I get 7970 for about 2.000 Danish Kroner and R9 280 is about 2.400, so not much more. But I can only with with 600 Khash with the 7970

From my research they're very similar. Both great cards IMO and you can't go wrong with either - however this is all a numbers game so I would go for reasonable quality and cheapest pricing for the desired KH/s rate. I personally chose my R9 290's based on the incredible deal I got on them (about $400 USD flat for each of them)

Hey everybody, hope all is well. I've been visiting BTC Talk forums for awhile now, but never bothered creating an account until now. I'm a large advocate for the long-term growth and sustainability of both BTC and LTC, and I also fool around with some alt coins here and there. I made $4k during the "Quark Rush" as I like to call it (it's rise from .0025USD to .035USD) and I used that money to pay off debt, reinvest into cryptos, and invest into a LTC mining rig with 2x Sapphire R9 290's, 8GB RAM, running cgminer 3.6.0 around 1,550kh/s and getting stable results and cool temps  Cool

I look forward to getting to know some of you and providing help as I can! Thanks - BigRidg
