Thanks for the additional information about the newbie jail. I know every new user like myself is curious when we will become "real" members!
I"m not sure if the rules changed but I thought it was 5 posts and 4 hours so. If you met those requirements then you should be upgraded soon enough if you haven't already.

Secondary , that "substantial" post count is no longer required. Nobody is checking the posts anymone.
I saw people getting out of the jail with "hi" or "hello" posts.
Also the timer isn't 4 hours fix. It can be 4 and half , 4 and 20.

Your first post should be a substantial one. Something of "worth" a paragraph or 4 lines would do.
