Who's entered my lottery anyway? Theres one person, and in 13 hours they'll win. Put 0.005 BTC in and get more than double back!

Bump!
SOLD one ticket yesterday! I'm a bit confused about the block chain thingy!
The recieve address is: http://blockexplorer.com/address/18FcBMdbaWoPbiKSYtYNJPqGymfL2uzorK

On that page, It says Recieved 0.01 From/To 2x my address
Then recieved again 0.005 to make the balance in the lottery at 0.015
But the second transaction has 2 DIFFERENT addresses in From/To
Which one do I send the winnings to if the lottery is won??
Both addresses are from the sender. It's just that the first address had only part of the 0.005 coins to it, hence the use of the second address to send more coins. It's perfectly okay to send to either.

Wow. These drawing techniques are confusing!
I think i've just got a good technique though!

using website: http://statistics.berkeley.edu/~stark/Java/Html/sha256Rand.htm
I paste a hash into it:
E.G The latest block: Block #164966 hash = 0000000000000207ab590f7afda4dd6a7faf736b3b625ee81a165018a42c2c63

Every time I "draw sample I get 42 as the start number (based on 50 participants)

I think i'll use this method then! I'll writeup the technique on my website later today Wink

So basically. I pick the next block after draw time, get the hash, enter it to the website, enter the participants, then this picks my winner by ticket ID!

on the "Transactions Into Lottery" I'll list Ticket ID (numbers 1 through to how ever many sold). If someone buys 3 tickets, their ticket ID will be 1-3 or 6-9 for example
Ticket ID is a first come first serve basis. If you want ticket 1, you have to buy ticket 1 first!

you should use something like:
(hash of last block in the chain) mod (number of participants in the lottery)
otherwise you can enter yourself and say your entry is the winner

You should state your drawing method. I'd suggest you take a look around at other lotteries offered here to see how they do it.

Just going to list tickets in excel and use this (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/214090) example to sort the tickets randomly
The top ticket wins

I think you should offer more transparency as people would want concise evidence like using the hashes of the xxth block and so to match up with their transaction hash. One example of a lotto using such a way :http://www.bitlotto.com/details.html

Good luck!

Try your luck at a cheap lottery game!
http://btclottery.0adz.com/

I'm pretty new to BitCoins. I started a few days ago and mined like 0.04BTC from a pool!
I decided to invest 0.01 BTC and create a basic BTC Lottery. I've built the website from scratch by myself.

I have personally put 0.01 BTC into the prizedraw. I will look at the Lottery Wallet a few times every day and update the website accordingly (in & out & jackpot value)

Please tell me what you think?

I figured I don't have any reputation on this forum, so I'll sell the tickets for cheap to get a bit of reputation and trust in the community.
I just hope people will take the leap of faith (with 0.005 BTC + 0.0005 BTC Transaction Fee) and put their trust in me.
If it catches on, I'll purchase a domain and move it to a .com site!
