I finally got it to work. I did a wipe on the hard drive and complete reinstall. I think it had to do with the catalyst and app sdk file. Thanks again for the help.

I think you have 2 solution:
You modify the code by hand to set the correct path.
Or you set the APPDATA environment variable correctly  (maybe this link will help you : http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000549.htm)

open a folder, and in the top of the explorer window (where you can see the path directory) type %APPDATA%. It should open a directory. This is for test if APPDATA is set or not.

Just use the latest cgminer.  I guess you could try running guiminer as administrator.

Thanks for the help.

Anyone got any idea?

Try these settings. -I 15 -g 1 -w 256 -l 1 --thread-concurrency 6144

I tried this ...didnt help.

do you have the right catylist drivers and sdk installed? not all amd drivers work.

drivers
http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop/previous/detail?os=Windows%207%20-%2064&rev=12.8     64bit
http[Suspicious link removed]                                                        32bit

SDK
http[Suspicious link removed]                       64bit
http[Suspicious link removed]                         32bit

edit  they blocked the links anyways search for how to mine litecoins and follow the instructions.
best of luck.

After looking again it appears you need catylist 12.8 or 12.10 been awhile since i had to install them

My driver version is 13.152.1.8000, I will try the 12.1 or 12.8 and see if that helps.
My APP SDK is 2.9

Will look for diff versions and try them.

First off I would like to say hello to all on this board. I recently started into the mining hobby and am experiencing issues already Huh.
Recently I purchased a used MSI R6950 card to replace a nvidea card that was in my machine. I was experimenting mining with the nvidea card and was all set up and mining useing Guiminer. Hash rates were low and I expected that but wanted to try and see if I could do it. I installed the MSI card yesterday and updated the drivers and Amd APP SDK v2.9 along with amd catalyst. I could not get the card to work, although it would mine it would not show on coinotron even after 2 hours of running. I did a complete re-install of windows and took all updates for it, also downloaded catalyst, newest ADM drivers and GUIminer. This is what I get and it will never find a block to mine. Any help would be greatly appreciated as to what I am doing wrong. It seemed the Nvidea card worked on LTC and FTC with coinotron but this card wont hook up to my miner. Thanks in advance.
