Seeds are generally not compatible across different clients, but there are some that are. This thread has a link that shows the incompatibilities between the various wallets: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/deterministic-wallet-compatibility-matrix-1000544

I wonder if a wallet seed could be imported into another HD wallet.

Let me add an example.
I have an Electrum wallet and this service won't be updated anymore in the future. Or simply I wanna move my funds, my labels and addresses into another wallet ( for example GreenAddress ) . In a case like this one, could I add Electrum seed on Greenaddress ( or another HD wallet ) and restore all my funds and addresses?

I already asked this question before you , check here : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/if-multibit-hd-or-electrum-goes-down-1147047
