I'm not 100% sure on this, but my answer is based on reading: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Running_Bitcoin

A seed node is just a Bitcoin node you connect to in order to get a list of their peers (nodes they are connected to), then you disconnect from the seed node and maybe connect to some of the peers you have just gained knowledge of.

A normal node is someone you stay connected to in order to relay transactions, download blocks, broadcast your transactions, and all the other normal Bitcoin operations including downloading a list of your peer's neighbors.
Thanks for the answer, If I'm running a bitcoind instance, Am I running a seed node?  Huh

Hello!

I recently made a Bitcoin node on a VPS, and it runs well, but I'm a little troubled with the concepts, I don't know what's the difference between a "node" and a "seed node" Huh I hope you can help me.

Thanks in advance.
