Hey,

I did do this exactly as explained but unfortunately after syncing my balance is still 0? Is there anything else I can try? By the way when I backed up the wallet it wasn't synced at the time, could this be why it hasn't saved? Also I didn't do a re-scan, How exactly do I do that?

Thanks for the help

create a short-cut to your wallet, then run it with '-rescan' after the .exe (without the '')

If you have two wallets(both with incoming transactions daily), and switch between them, you might need to always start the wallet up with the rescan switch.

So, for an example with bitcoin, you can just change the startup line, if you always change wallets before a restart, like:
"C:\Program Files\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe" -rescan

The explanation here above is completely correct.
I still want to add that once you have copied your .dat file , for most of the coins do you already see how many coins you had when you did the backup.
They enter of course in your wallet as confirmed, when the blocks of that moment are downloaded.

Install the banksycoin wallet on the new computer

Once installed, shut the wallet down and go the C:\Users\(Insert Your Username Here)\AppData\Roaming

Go the Banksycoin file and then copy of your wallet.dat file into this folder overwriting the current wallet.dat in the folder

Then load up the wallet and coins should show up once wallet is synced

Hey,

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I am not very technical. I have an old banksycoin wallet backed up as a .dat file on my memory stick. How do I run it as a program on my new laptop so that my old balance shows up on this computer? I have over 60,000 BSY so don't want to lose them now things seem to be taking off again. When I try and open dat file it says "this file is not supported"

Thanks   Smiley
