Loading the whole blockchain on a usb doesn't makes sense, electrum is a microwallet thst won't need to resync the blockchain, if you don't trust electrum then download multibit on tails.

Your best bet is to have a thorough read of the docs on their website:  https://tails.boum.org/getting_started/index.en.html

Once you've downloaded and verified the ISO, either burn it to a dvd or install it on a USB drive / SD card. If you want to just use the live version (dvd) you'll have to enter the Electrum seed every time you boot (great for security but a bit of hassle). Installing to a USB stick is much more convenient as the persistant volume allows you to store data (including the Electrum wallet).

You would have to use tails as a USB Os that means that you install tails on an usb then boot it up, it will run persistent thst means you'll files will be saved on the usb. You'll be able to use TOR and electrum 2.0 directly from your tails usb and electrum allows the use of change address or generating massive address to receive your bitcoins. Google on YouTube how to install tails on a usb.

You'll need to read about Linux so you can understand how does it work.

tails is a live operating system. You don't install it

Like Reynaldo said : load it, create a permanent volume (portable hd, usb stick, fat sd) install bitcoin-qt Linux wait for sync, use another usb-sd-what ever for wallet.dat (or one storage for both) and rules. another cool variation is a btc node on tail and then use connect command from another computer.

better usage model?
USB sticks and SD cards has limited read and write cycles depending on your product quality. Not everyone has a portable HD lying around too which would require you to spend some money to buy one. Syncing a Bitcoin core on a usb stick or SD card would also be a hassle due to space constraints and IO speed. If possible just install the OS on the computer itself.

Imho if you want to stay anonymous, you should just use anonymous coins. Some are already good and fight for a good place.
Using various anonymisers, especially if you don't know what you do, may produce more harm than good (an easy example would be to lose your coins).

Of course it's just an advice. Do as you prefer.

Hi guys
I just read somewhere that anonymous bitcoin transactions can be made using TAILS + TOR however I really don't know anything about how this works, I would appreciate if someone could explain this to me. Thanks in advance.

I don't think you really have to worry enough to use TAILs/Tor. Using TAILS/Tor prevents people from finding out your IP address. It doesn't help if you use tor, but follow unsafe practices like reusing BTC addresses.

tails force all traffic to go to tor, browser ones or not, and also don't let your drives be accessed.

So the odds of some vulnerability in your side reveals some info about you are lower

Dont pay for questionable things... but if you have to, i wouldn't use BTC to begin with, I would use Monero and if the merchants don't accept it tell them to get with the program and do so.

It is possible but a HTTPS vulnerability can be found and it would be easy to MITM when you are using Tor. Try using a VPN instead and you would be as secure if they delete logs.

i presume it should works like a simple proxy, were you create a tunnel and direct all traffic to tails, your nodes will pass though that

if youre making some "questionable" purchases on certain market sites, TAILS would be a great idea, erases all possible evidence for you.
