Thank you very much. I am a seasoned citizen and more than somewhat intellectually challenged when it comes to these issues which most of you have been dealing with since birth (lol). I had been looking for quite a while to find some method to store xrp safely. The exchanges  appear to be my only option. I have looked at rippex but not too keen on that one.

Any other suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks

Electrum was officially made only for Bitcoin by its creator Thomas Voegtlin back in 2011. Since then there have been code forks (from their github repository) and other developers (who support other altcoins) have implemented electrum's wallet functionalities to work with altcoins. I've searched online and I couldn't find a Ripple Electrum wallet fork. For ripple, you might have to refer to their website for information on wallets if they have listed them there. Just for your information, there's a wallet named toastwallet which is available for Ripple and it's opensource. I hope this helps.

I am new to bitcoins and cryptocurriencies. I have secured some purchases with a desktop wallet (JAXX), I am looking for the best desktop wallet to use for XRP (Ripple). Does Electrum support XRP or can someone give me the best wallet to download for securing XRP.
