Underestimate- nothing
I completely agree with you. Many new people who invest in cryptocurrencies do not do their own research and do not understand risks. They mostly get tricked into investing in bad cryptocurrencies that promise fast profits without realizing that these coins will probably lose their value soon. It is very important to teach new investors about importance of investing in good cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin which has always shown its value over time. However as you said people mostly need to learn from their own mistakes. It is very important to give guidance and warnings but in end people must make their own decisions and deal with results.

A lot of people don't want learn they just want an easy way and there is no easy way you want to invest then the cross of learning should be a priority because the mood of operations in bitcoin is different from other finance sector, it is when you understand the risk that you will be able to know exactly what you are avoiding, but when there is no knowledge then any other thing as no difference with a blind person but when the knowledge is available.

There are periods that majority of this investment won't yield anything so it is better to have a vision and define what the business is about so that you don't do blind investments, teaching new investors is good but it is not everyone that will agree with what you are teaching them and there people that they will feel that they don't need any other persons advice but everyone is important when it comes to this circle.

And we learn everyday so this are the things we even consider before starting anything that is when it is advice to start when learning is the first thing to learn, and to me investing in bitcoin is still something I believed so much in than altcoins.

The greatest mistakes most newbies make is to pursue quick wealth which they believe they will get from low cap tokens since they assume that Bitcoin have become too expensive. Due to this approach, a lot of newcomers waste fortune to shitcoins and scams, chasing the next big pumps and before they realize that Bitcoin is the real deal and the asset that will guarantee that their money is not lost.

I am therefore encouraging newbies to start investing in Bitcoin and never yield to the hypes going on that there is a shortcut to wealth via newly lunched projects that will pump hard following some supposed expert marketing. While getting proper knowledge, you can start investing and set 5 to 10 years target and see how happy you will be with Bitcoin.
a beginner in cryptocurrency to ask questions before the inventure into cryptocurrency investment because two things is into cryptocurrency investment on the process of investing it is neither you invest wrongly or you invest to the one that will lead you to a profit side of investment, so in cryptocurrency you have to understand that bitcoin is the only cryptocurrency that you can invest and also make a profit but only thing that you needed for investing in Bitcoin is for you to exercise patient so from my own understanding if a new person who does not know cryptocurrency want to start investment with cryptocurrency the person should move down directly to invest with bitcoin first

For newbies who don't understand how the crypto market works, investing in Bitcoin should be what comes to their mind, not on altcoins because that's a big gamble if they don't understand altcoins to be for the short term not for the long term.

Thinking altcoins to be for the long term is the worst mistake a newbie can make. It's only Bitcoin that is worth having for the long term because there is always a tendency for its price to skyrocket in the future and give you many profits.

If a newbie does understand altcoins to be for the short term, investing in potential coins should be advice but let it lie on, having a price target and investing with their spare money

Considering the board where the post is made, and the fact that those who have been in this space for some years would have already known that Bitcoin is the way to go as they would have made mistakes of holding shitcoins and lost money to them. So, to help newbies and prevent them from making such mistake is the reason the post was made. Even experience guys who invest in some of these tokens, they already know that the best approach is to convert to Bitcoin or stable coin as quickly as possible when the hype is high and never to hold. It is usually newbies that fall victim of holding shitcoins.
Your point is correct because the first point you made is important. Bitcoin is the only coin in the crypto world that does something good. I have not seen anything like that from any other coin other than Bitcoin so far. Although my journey is short, in this journey, I have not seen anything so far that has made a good profit in any other coin.

Those who are on the Bitcoin forum must know this and believe that BTC is the only coin in which it is possible to earn a good return on investment.

Our main goal is to help those new to learn about Bitcoin and what kind of investment will not cause them to lose their money, and we will give them ideas about these things. However, beginners can learn well if they want; they can go towards altcoins, it is their matter, but they have to understand how to do it and the height of the token. If they want to maintain everything and invest in altcoins for a short period, then they can do so, it is their personal matter, but we want to let them know that they must prioritize stable coin for investment. If they do not prioritize stable coin or Bitcoin, then it will be seen that they will lose money.

Not just newbies but it goes to everyone who is into cryptocurrency should invest into bitcoin than other Altcoins, but then like your said OP most people don’t actually have the funds to buy bitcoin so instead they just feel they should buy other Altcoin and be also in the same train with others who are into cryptocurrency. Another big reason is that most people again don’t really make research or proper information before going into cryptocurrency so they just end up buying a lot of shitty coins and end up losing alot of funds.

The thing again is that is not that if you invest in Altcoins you lose, it a gamble and their are people who buy alt coins and wait for it to pump and they sell off. To be on a safer side as a newbie it advisable to invest in bitcoin because of the stability. So just like the OP said ignore other cryptocurrencies and invest in bitcoin.

The reason for creating this post is simple and the message has been passed newbies must have learnt so well after coming across the post and the people that has been here for a long time is already aware of their information but it will serve as a reminder so that they would not fall victim again in trying to rely on any shit coins they come across. Bitcoin has proven to be more reliable and dependable than any other cryptocurrency this is the main reason why it is advisable for newbies to invest in Bitcoin to ensure they do not encounter losses in their investments.

If you know, you know!
but then like your said OP most people don’t actually have the funds to buy bitcoin so instead they just feel they should buy other Altcoin and be also in the same train with others who are into cryptocurrency. Another big reason is that most people again don’t really make research or proper information before going into cryptocurrency so they just end up buying a lot of shitty coins and end up losing alot of funds.
If we use this explanation and make another statement based on the correlation between the lack of funds and the decision in buying Altcoin instead of Bitcoin, we could conclude that there are some people out there buying Bitcoin because they are expecting better return with very little money, especially with airdrop news and its new DeFi listing that some people use these momentums to buy or sell their Altcoin regarding of its safety or long term risk, they just want the short term one using those momentums.

The thing again is that is not that if you invest in Altcoins you lose, it a gamble and their are people who buy alt coins and wait for it to pump and they sell off. Even when some of them acknowledge that sometimes it could be gambling in buying Altcoin especially if they do not know how to do a proper Fundamental Analysis, notabaly for newbies. They just don't care because they see that they don't really have much to lose with little fund that they have.

Most newbies fail to do their own research,if they do,they will understand that Bitcoin isn't too expensive to buy, when they do their own research they'll understand that one can buy fractions of Bitcoins. Most persons wouldn't focus on purchasing Bitcoin even after explaining in details to them about the darkside of shitcoins, they would always want to learn from the hard way.The only thing I can do is to tell a newbie never to invest their hard earn money on coins that will lose its value in the next 2-3 years, and won't retain it's value again.Newbies are always advised to invest only on Bitcoin because Bitcoin has proven to pump even after several years of price decline, but those worthless coins will dump and never pump again, the major reason why most newbies are overwhelmed on investing in shitcoins is the quick profit.
A guy in my neighborhood was an active shitcoin investor,I told him about pump and dump scheme as a caring neighbor,he ignored the fact and he saw the outcome of shitcoins and right now his into Bitcoin. All I'm trying to say is,most times people shouldn't be forced to do the right things, let them make their own decisions and face the action of their decisions.

Most of them just invest just put their money on unknown project and they rely only on the hype brought up by people recommending. It they didn't even bother to do a background check before participating that's why we see lots of those newbie people fall on scam trap set up by those project owner who deceive newbie individuals. This is the reason why research is importance and if they know that lots of new crypto is just a scam.

If they want to invest on which they have more better chance to earn without getting much any worries about what will happen on future they better deal with Bitcoin since so far there's no other better option especially if we talk about long term investment aside from this coin.

They will only deal with negative results if they keep engaging with those shitcoins and think about doing short term with those scams.

Most newbies don’t really have proper knowledge about what crypto is all about, they just hear people talk about it, and they will also want to jump into it. Most of them are always brainwashed by people to invest in different coins, and they are always following them blindly without doing any research, but at the end they do end up losing money. Some of them do pay for signal providers, so any coin recommended, then they will invest, and some do invest based on some influencers they are following on social media.

...

most of the newbies get information about the token that they want to invest, whether from telegram, youtube videos, or other unclear sources. very rarely newbie uses trusted sources such as coinmarketcap, reading whitepaper, or other credible sources that they can use for research on their token. their ignorance of this causes them to often fall on the wrong investment because what they do is only listening to what people say or influencer, without understanding what they invest and how the risks are if they put money on it.

what the newbie should do is that they need to strengthen their understanding of the token they want to invest, and be more careful of new tokens and not be trapped by other people's words that they can quickly be rich if they invest in any token.

Yea I agree, the "Influencer" factor on social media is a massive amount of useless information and
noise in the crypto space, I liken them to scam operators like HYIP schemes and they cover themselves
with statements like "This is not financial advice" "it is meant as entertainment".

Their videos and "recommendations" are so easy to attract newbies to use their referral codes and links.

What newbies need to realise is that:

1. they dont have to try and own a full Bitcoin, they can hold Satoshi amounts also
2. getting into everything other than Bitcoin is really a gamble as to whether their chosen crypto will "Pump"
as they so desperately want.

True, for newbies investing in Bitcoin should just stick to the DCA method, so they accumulate over time. I wouldn't say they shouldn't try other altcoins, if they happen to study the market and the altcoin has potential, investing in it is not a bad idea either.

Although, even though when Bitcoin experiences bear run, it tends to have better potential than altcoins, but there are some altcoins that actually can give you 10x your investment.

So I think one thing newbies need to remember is that whether it's Bitcoin or altcoin, they need to work with time and with patience to invest. No form of investment is cheap, whether it's digital or physical investment, you still need to put in the money.

Make up your mind that investment is a long-term game, and that the crypto market is volatile, and that it will take time for them to rip. Not because the market is bullish now, it's going to continue being like that.
Stick to DCA method will help them to accumulate more and more Bitcoin constantly. If they want to still invest in other coins, they must research first before decide and not just follow what others suggestion.

Yes, Bitcoin will have better chance than altcoin so when newbies focus their investment in Bitcoin, they will not disappointed in the future. If they can use altcoin as the next investment, that will not be a problem because altcoin can also gives them profit.

They must remember that before they start investing in crypto, they must research. That is the thing to make a profit in crypto and not let others suggest to buy the coin before they research.

This topic is quite funny lol , well but the topic is still nice at same time , alot of folks at there kept given folks speculation concerning a particular coin that don't actually have any good potential and most newbies now and days are kinda gullible so they will just run in , in investing in that Same project and endup getting rekt , so is safer to stick with bitcoin though there's still some risk in it because there's nothing like a risk free investment.
Well I think the topic is just okay, because it seems to be a very big encouragement to all the newbies in community to put more trust on Bitcoin by buying and holding for future use. Of course is very necessary for us to encourage them to invest in Bitcoin, so that they wouldn't go and lavish their money into gambling shirtcoins. However, as a newbie that really knows the value of Bitcoin you don't need to be told before you would know that Bitcoin investment is the best.

Newbies chasing shitcoin in expectations or pursuit of quick wealth are Just being ignorant.  Because they thought bitcoin is too expensive and looking for a shortcut to wealth not knowing its the quickest way to poverty.  Due to the high demand  to make quick wealth has made many youths lose there  money in some shitcoin and blame it on bitcoin, that bitcoin or cryptocurrency is a scam,  not knowing they failed to do proper research. I would say newbies should invest in bitcoin than wasting those money on gambling coin because Its a pump and dump coin and no real long term value.  I have many of them lying dead in my wallet due to my lack Of understanding about bitcoin back then.

What can you expect if this is what those experience people teach to them? For sure that they would expect something unrealistic especially if they are blinded with those result gotten by those people they are following. And this is common problem of newbies since usually they didn't verify those things they are trying to chase. That's why we always see some unfortunate results coming from them.

Learning from those mistakes is kinda expensive that's why its always good for new investors to do further more research before trying to participate on something. Since its hard to take a risk especially if they don't know what's going to happen on those schemes they are trying to participate. There's huge chance for them to lose their money in shitcoins that's why if they want to get involve on more decent investment better if they try to learn more about Bitcoin long term investment since so far this is the best choice that we could pick compare on those scams around.

That is normal if they pursue quick wealth because that is what they see on their social media. Many people post their moment making money from crypto and attract many people attention to join. But they don't think that to get that much money, they need to learns and research to find the ways. They can not just follow what other people do because that will not always works for them. If they just invest in the project that they don't know, they will difficult to make a profit. So that is why they must focus on investing in Bitcoin because they already see what Bitcoin can gives to them. Chasing wealth through shitcoin is a mistake that investors have made, newbies can distinguish between investments that have high risks and investments that can maintain the value of their assets. Newbie investors need to consider some risks before investing in low-cap tokens, shitcoins have no guarantee that their value will continue to exist in the future, the value of shitcoins can change drastically, so investors can experience huge losses in a short time.

Shitcoin is also not designed as a serious project like some of the other top coins and lacks strong partnerships or connectivity which makes it very vulnerable to manipulation and volatility. Hopefully Newbie Investors read this topic before making decisions that can lead them into a hole of loss.

Not your keys, not your coins!
The major problem something is the orientation give to these newbies because most of them get attracted to Bitcoin maybe due to some ads of short term traders claiming to have made millions of dollars under a very short space of time and also friends with low knowledge about Bitcoin telling or presenting Bitcoin as some sort of get rich scheme. Many of these newbies then fail to do their research and follow up with buying altcoins thinking they can replicate the effect of making or getting quick returns from these coins.
Cryptocurrency market has its bull and bear market that starts with Bitcoin. Bitcoin is bearish, cryptocurrency is bearish too, and if Bitcoin is bullish, so is cryptocurrency market.

People as newbies will mostly be exposed to cryptocurrency market with news about Bitcoin especially in a new Bitcoin bull run around its Bitcoin block subsidy halving. However, very soon after that, newbies will be exposted to and attracted to altcoins because they easily see Bitcoin price is very high. As inexperienced newbies, they want something cheap, that can allow them buying a lot, and they fall into altcoins, meme tokens.

With time, newbies will realize that Bitcoin is best for their investment portfolio.

A newbie who is not only focused on making money at first than seeking after the required knowledge will realized that bitcoin is the first before any other, then if we want to stay off taking much risk on crypto, then we should try as possible to see that we avoid some altcoins we are not knowing much about them, most especially the newly introduced ones.

But when we set in with the right mindset, then every other things that follows will be made easy for us to adapt with the conditions attached in them, than when we are having a misplaced priority over the crypto coin we are investing and yet expecting return from it.

As for me, I don't see what is funny there because even without reading through the body of the post, one can easily see the that the topic is self explanatory and rightly on time as we are in at a time when many people are thinking more of selling and taking profits when they should be buying more because we are yet to even near the peak of the bull run. From the time the post was made, bitcoin has grown rapidly which shows that selling the post was made would have lead to the investor losing significantly. So selling now is not the best option for newbies and every bitcoin holder.

Newbies don’t really understand that bitcoin is the best crypto asset; investors should accumulate many of them, as they are running for bitcoin because of the period of time it will take before they can get a profit from what they invest, but that is not the case. They don’t understand that investing in my other coin apart from bitcoin is gambling or high risk.

Although some newbies are doing this due to false information, while some of them do it intentionally, it is good if they put their money in only bitcoin and leave the rest of the shitcoins because, in the long run, they will lose their money, and many of them invest huge amounts of money because they think that is what will determine their profit in it; they don’t realise the risk in what they are doing.

The truth is that newbies lack proper knowledge about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general, and that may be the reason why they are always inclined to invest in shitcoins, thinking they will make quick and easy profits through these investments. In fact, many of these newbies don't even know the difference between Bitcoin and these shitcoin projects.

Many newbies always think that even the price of shitcoins may later rise to the level of Bitcoin's price, which they don't realize is impossible. If more newbies could seek proper knowledge first before investing in any of these shitcoin projects and learn what happens to those shitcoins after a few months or two to three years, they would hardly consider investing in them because they pump and dump. One thing that convinces newbies to invest in shitcoins are the influence of social media influencers many of them are  following.

It is very important for newbies to know that the security of their clearly in crypto is on Bitcoin; any other coin apart from Bitcoin because it is the only most secured crypto assets and most reliable asset that have less risk if properly hold and managed well in decentralized open-source wallets.

Investing on shitcoins is gambling and that means that you will definitely not be happy with your investment in the long run. Bitcoin investment is the first thing anybody that wants to invest in the cryptospace should invest in, because when you invest and grow your portfolio with DCA in the long term, you will be in profit since bitcoin is still young and the price increases overtime.

You should also see bitcoin from this angle an asset that keeps the value of your money from inflation, because whatever amount of money you are using to buy bitcoin will not be affected by inflation. Instead of saving in the bank for 4 years and above, save those money gradually in bitcoin and enjoy the benefits in the long run.

Not only shitcoins but every investment is like a gambling including Bitcoin itself. The only difference is that in even in real gambling space, there are games with less risk involved and your chances of winning is high but not guaranteed. This same feature applies to Bitcoin and shitcoins. Investing in Bitcoin simply means you're staking your asset on the less risky market and the chances you'll benefit immensely is high but must be aware that every investment involves risk no matter how small.

However, if you invest in shitcoins, there's possibilities for high returns but the chances you'll lose your entire assets value is also possible. Investing in Bitcoin is just like placing a bet on a sure odds even though it doesn't exist in reality.

But compare on Bitcoin we know how really good it is, This is not the same with other shitcoins out there that once there's a big dump came the price won't recover. Rug pull schemes are pretty common in this scene that's why people should not think about holding it for long months since they might really end up regretting for the money they lose from those scam tokens.

That's why I always recommend Bitcoin when someone asking me what's best to invest since we know that there's huge chance for them to enjoy their gains from this coin especially if they have long patience to deal with Bitcoin for long term.

You have a point @OP. In as much as we still encourage newbies focusing more on Bitcoin, I think some of them will definitely learn the hard way. Seeing they say is believing, so no matter how we make more emphasis on this, there are some that won't just listen, but will have to learn a lesson for themselves.

The truth is, even if few of these altcoins have been doing well lately, not everyone would still make profits from them. They're are quite different from Bitcoin, which means any wrong approach can leave someone new on a losing side. Personally, I'm too good at holding alts for long term, because of the risk involve, which has made me to avoid it at all cost. So you're right by suggesting that newbies should stick with something less risky like Bitcoin to be on a safer side.

Also, some newbies know about bitcoin, but they prefer to go for meme coins, which they believe will give them quick money, and if you are looking for quick money in the crypto space, then you are likely going to lose your money, it’s better to invest in bitcoin and have patience, with time, you are going to make your money.

Altcoins like dogecoin are good as well. I agree that you should not invest in shitcoins as well. But I believe if you invest in the top 10 altcoins right now you're not going to loose your money.
That's not bad advise but check out circa 2017 and backward and see how the market went by that time. There were coins that were part of the top 10 but no longer in there. Maybe it could happen from the ones that are also currently in the top 10. I am not saying that might be out soon but we don't know what the future might do with them. While we see some strong coins that have been consistently staying there but once trend changes and the hype transfers to another crypto, it could kick some of them eventually and will result into a forgotten top 10 coins. So, you can still lose money with them so make sure to take profits and convert that into Bitcoin if you can.

Lot of people choose to focused on quick money to receive profit from their investment due to that they wouldn't know when they will lose their total investment, maybe as they keep hearing news everywhere across the internet that they invested in some shitcoin and makes a specific amount through the investment. They are always feels cheated, therefore they would rush to a hype project with the intention to utilize and cease the opportunity of holding the tokens with the mindset of selling when the price hit x amount within the couples of days or months.

To me altcoin (shitcoin) is a total waste of money and distractions to us, because most of those projects owners creates them to still our good bitcoin from us. So while they trying to diversify their investment it's important to only hold bitcoin, in fact to keep accumulating gradually to stash up their holding, and whenever the market drop they stack more to keep their portfolio boosted.
Sponsored influencers, YouTubers, and shellers play a role in deceiving beginners with the mindset of quick wealth and exploiting opportunities in altcoins, which may be less popular and newer in the market than meme coins or coins based on Telegram bots, only to use them to pump the coin in question and then and perform a rug pull, while these investors wait for the coin they invested in to reach a certain value, double their capital, be listed on a CEX, or have a future..

Bitcoin is undoubtedly a safer and more reliable decision in the market, no one disagrees with it, and it is the choice that any beginner should start with when entering the market. Of course, before this, he must gain sufficient experience to know its nature and how to deal with it and its basics. Given the presence of thousands of alternative currencies in the market, along with their lack of experience, is what will make them unable to choose the appropriate altcoin in which to put their money, fail to conduct proper research, and don't know when to buy or sell. Bitcoin is the true revolution and the dominant force in the market. Therefore, it should also be invested cautiously and with capital that the investor is not afraid to lose.

This is the best wise man advice, but one thing that most of the newbies fail to understand is that if they are patient and endure the delay while looking for knowledge, they will be able to enjoy it in the future because bitcoin has one secret. No matter what, you will never dump to the extent that you will lose more than you expected, because if you can hold your bitcoin as a newbie for at least 4-10 years, then you will definitely get a good profit. Moreover, you can use the DCA strategy to accumulate a lot of bitcoin with time without a lot of stress.

The best time for newbies to have bought would've been a year ago or so when the market was down and sluggish. Except a newbie is under tutorship, they aren't likely going to make much investing in Bitcoin at this time.
We know very well why they will not invest little in BTC now. They are waiting for a good time, like a year ago when it was a good time to invest. They may be waiting for such a time now. They should wait and not invest and hire when the market volatility is a bit better. But the situation is different for those who are or will be investing by maintaining DCA. Those who are suddenly starting to invest should wait a little for a good time to invest.

Yeah, but not many newbie investors will do that. They are more likely to FOMO into the market at the peak, thinking they have missed the boat. Its a classic mistake.

I would say the "best time" to invest is whenever you are financially prepared and believe in the long-term potential of the asset. Trying to time the market is often a losing strategy.

I would agree with that, when it comes to cryptocurrency the safest investment that you could make is to invest in Bitcoin, it might not be the highest profit because of its high market price but it will not drop its market price compared to the altcoins where you could easily lose your money, especially on meme tokens in the market which is popular these days, there might be a lot of investors that profit huge on this project but don't get FOMO because it is extremely risky. To the point where you could lose all of your investment in just minutes, investing on meme token where there was no liquidity you could easily get stuck on your token and see your holding that it has no value.

In fact, a lot of veteran traders have their portfolio on a huge percentage of Bitcoin and then leave only a small percentage investing on altcoins where they could probably risk some of their money just to gamble a little bit.

Newbies should not just focus on bitcoin, they should focus more on learning about cryptocurrency and the different options available for them. If they do this, they will not make the mistake of investing in shitcoins and scam tokens.  Even if they settle for Bitcoin, learning will help them be security conscious when they eventually start investing. The problem is, everyone is looking for an easy way to make money,  so they quickly follow the hype without doing a proper research before investing. Newbies should understand that they are newbies, so what is expected of them is learning first before any other thing.

Patience and hard work are the keys to success.
I can't recommend investing in cryptocurrencies to beginners at all. I won't say that investing in cryptocurrencies is wrong, because if you are experienced in investing and have good knowledge about crypto, you can also benefit from altcoins, meme coins or sitcoins. But as easy as Bitcoin is for beginners, cryptocurrencies are as complicated for beginners. Even cryptocurrencies sometimes push experienced people to the brink of failure.

I compare investing in crypto to gambling, because when you invest in your crypto, your money is in an unstable situation or at risk. However, for an experienced investor whose management is very good, such unstable situations in crypto cannot have much of a negative impact. They can control the negative market times and calm themselves down and take the right steps. However, it will not be easy for a novice investor to control the volatile situation of crypto and it is natural for them to make mistakes in choosing coins and taking action. Therefore, beginners should ignore the temptation of crypto and focus on buying Bitcoin.

If you know, you know!
If only newbies are as experts as experienced investors, I’m sure they won’t rush investing into shitcoins and expect get rich quick profits. But newbies are said to be less knowledgeable, less experienced and less practical, so it’s not surprising why most of them commit mistakes first before they will learn their lesson.

The only concept they need to know prior to investing is just to invest at the amount they can afford to lose. Whether it’s a loss, at least that still brings a lesson without getting them too much affected on that.
If they are a total newbies, like new in investment and choose Cryptocurrency as their first choice, the situation that you just explained is absolutely will apply, but it will be another whole different story if they have experiences in Investment and just started new in Cryptocurrency, they will at least know about money management and risk management. Nonetheless, knowing the basic of investment will helps a lot for newbies.

If you're not buying Bitcoin in the crypto market that means that you're risking your funds, Bitcoin has built a solid reputation and it's trust ratings speaks for itself. We often hear about many altcoins that promises huge returns on the shortest time, many newbies will leverage on the reputation of Bitcoin, thinking that all cryptocurrencies have the same reputation, in the end they'll be scammed of their hard earned money. The advice that I give to newbies who wants to invest in cryptocurrency is to start with Bitcoin and when they've learnt how to research about altcoins, then they can gamble their funds on them. There are however some top altcoins like Ethereum, that have built reputation in the crypto market, they're also safe to invest in. It is important to use amount that you can afford to loose to invest in altcoins.

I think they think bitcoin is too expensive and altcoins is more affordable to buy and invest not knowing they are making a mist to buy what they consider to be a coin with good value. One of the reasons why some people prefer to invest in altcoins is because they feel they can make profit so quick from it not knowing that they are investing in a coin that is not reliable and anything can go wrong in the market that will make it to lose value. Bitcoin is the real investment that must be considered because it has a very good potential.  Beginners are too desperate to make money and they hardly think of doing research to get better understanding about bitcoin and altcoins.
This is the wrong mindset that lead to this post. Over the years, the same mindset have dominated the mindset of new investor and new entrant thereby leading them to invest in shitcoins rather than Bitcoin. Some even buy several shitcoins hoping that one of them will pump very hard and give them the "lambo" and they call this diversification. At the end, the lose their capital and curse those shitcoins and everything cryptocurrency. I have seen many people with this approach and it breaks my heart how they waste money that they were supposed to use and build their Bitcoin portfolio. If they can focus on Bitcoin, they will be happier because it is better slow than lose money.

Yes, you are right, but many are making various comments about investing with a 5-10 year target. It would not be right to give such advice during market volatility. If you invest in this way during market volatility, you will get more profit from it in the future than if you invest in the bear market when the volatility is gone. That is why you must wait a little for a good time to invest.

The question is, "how much of Bitcoin worth can they get to give them a nice ROI, supposedly with the little funds they've? Truth is that most newbies coming into this space don't have much to put on Bitcoin and that's why they seek low cap tokens. We understand that. No amount of sermonizing will make them take your advice now until they've that bitter experience of loss from such shitcoin investment. So many of us were once on that table.

Another important thing I observe about newbies that is not only thinking that Bitcoin is expensive is that they feel they can't be patient enough with Bitcoin since it is best appreciated when viewed on a long term perspective, they get carried away by promises made by influencer paid to promote projects not knowing it is only a trap that will lead them to their doom. However, majority of them even seeing all that is being said here they will prefer to learn the hard way other than learning from what has happened to others. Yeah is anyone choice to do whatever they like with their funds.

Some of them doesn't want to engage on something that can make them wait for long time, since usually what these people trying to find is fast rich schemes program since they believe that there's certain program that can easily make them rich. This is the reason on why we can see a lot of newbies got scam since they didn't have long patience to deal with Bitcoin and also they always listen to the hype introduce to them by those deceivers who want to take advantage on their innocence.

For sure if they experience the worst they realize that Bitcoin is better than anything else. Its unfortunate for their side because they only realize this one when they already try to lose their money on wrong investment choice they pick.

Ethereum and Solana ain't bad too. Even the TON and SUI coin seems to have the potentials of growing higher in the near future. Bitcoin is for those with strong financial muscles and not every one can afford to invest in it. For those looking for alternatives, Solana is another coin which is doing well. Advise is, whether you are a newbie or not, acquire much knowledge in what you want to invest in before making such final decisions.

I don't know if it's just me but I don't fancy the idea of preaching bitcoin investments to newbies because a majority of times they end up becoming a victim to either one hack or phishing attempt or some fake Ponzi scheme printed shiny with the name of bitcoin mining and stuff. What I suggest newbies to be compelled to is actually more about understanding decentralisation, security of their funds as well ad privacy.

Bitcoin has long surpassed the status of advertising it like some meme coins do just to gather investors. The truth is there is a very high chance that anything that looks more like advertising bitcoin is definitely a scam. Newbies should be concerned about understanding the ecosystem instead of rushing to invest.

Preaching bitcoin sometimes looks like you are actually advising people to invest into bitcoin which is a very huge responsibility even I do not think I like, the other one is that you create a narrative for yourself that you have bitcoins. Although preaching or rather advocacy of bitcoin wouldn’t be bad if the newbie was the one who ask for the guide and illustrations like what you suggested is needed to guide them against falling into scams

If the advocation though is for bitcoin to actually grow more I think it doesn’t need that kind of advocation because it’s already beyond, the only thing it needs is less restriction from government and many people will come Into it because it is this restriction that is stopping them from actually getting involved with it

You should give investment advices to newcomers and beginners, this board is not intended for that. People are free to invest where they want and it should remain their own responsability. Bitcoin is a volatile and risky asset. So saying they should invest in Bitcoin instead of other cryptocurrencies is a non-sense, the risk is almost the same.

When newbies invest in shitcoins and other projects that eventually turn out to be scam, I do not feel much pity for most of them because their actions were as a result of their refusal to do a proper research before investing. Ofcourse, such actions are often influenced by greed so, they can always learn from their mistakes until they are forced to conduct a proper research and finally locate bitcoin.

Newbies are usually in a haste to make quick money. My advice to them is that they should always pause, think twice before making any decision that involves money

Newbies are easily misled because they don’t seek for more knowledge and do just as they hear or advice to do. Platforms like this where extensive discussions about cryptocurrency are held are a very good tool for beginners to learn from and not fall into the hands of wrong informations which need to be filtered out at all time. The approach of many people into cryptocurrency has made them fall into the wrong hands and is becoming more and more difficult for some people to fully adopt it. With the right information, you’ll know that bitcoin is the best coin to invest in and not fall in the hands of hype coins that easily become worthless.

Some people do get rich through that means, after their first trials, they are lucky to win big and I suggest when that luck finds people like that, they should invest a more bunch of it into bitcoin for safer investment. And then they can spare and invest some amounts they can risk on other coins after proper research. Bitcoin is the deal and since not all people can be convinced to all go for bitcoin, when they’re going for other coins, they should minimize their risk and go for what they can afford to lose.

Seriously don’t know why they focus on quick profit, actually no one is stopping the ambition to make profit seeing everyone target is to make profit. My observation concerning quick returns it’s either the person choose a wrong step unknowingly or they believe this idea is the best, now experiencing bitcoin bull is the major topic yet some folks chase after altcoins this season. Only few altcoins will yield profit and if they’re not careful now when the market is high they might invest in some pump and dump project due to the hype, bitcoin investment remains the best also considering others point of view I can’t stop anyone from choosing altcoins.

The reason why you see most newbies focusing so much on making profit instead of understanding what they want to invest in is because of their wrong understanding of what bitcoin is all about, hardly will you see newbies having good discussion on the best projects to invest in and how to gain knowledge on the project they want to invest in all they just want to hear is the project with the fastest return not minding the rest that is involved in the investment. Bitcoin Bull run has been the topic of discussion but newbies will rather choose to invest in shitcoin and altcoin because they want to accumulate huge profits which they may end up not having their capital back. Bitcoin has proven to be the most reliable and trusted cryptocurrency anyone who is looking for a lifetime investment should rather choose Bitcoin investment instead of risking pump and dump shit coins that will end up vanishing overnight.

Not your keys, not your coins!
Being a newbie, i will also advise that the first first investment that should be in consideration is bitcoin, because when you start with bitcoin, you already have a reduced tendencies for losing your money completely, unlike other altcoins that are more highly volatile and one can easily lose money, we may not also consider what other influencers are promoting being a newbie until we have a sound knowledge about crypto.
Bitcoin is the best choice, not only for newbies but also for all investors in cryptocurrency market. If their priority is their capital safety, Bitcoin is surely their best choice.

With any investor, there are two biggest concerns.

The first concern, the biggest one is: Safety of their capital. They must protect their initial investment capital and must avoid losing it as much as possible.

The second concern is Probability of Profit Gain in long term. With this concern, Bitcoin is the best too, because it has never died, and it has never failed to rally from past bear markets and it has been successfully to make new ATH in a new market cycle. With altcoins, it's hard to expect the same.

It is indeed a mistake to completely rely on shitcoins, but the risk worth it sometimes if you are lucky with some shitcoin of low market cap that will give you above 50x but the risk is very high which is why they always fall for scam because the newbies to crypto this days are always looking for easy way to make money that’s why they are always looking for shortcuts and when they fall victim of any scam, they blame crypto as scam; not knowing that altcoins are not reliable because they also have their personal interest as developers and once their target is met, they do dump or scam people.

If i haven't learnt enough then i should have understood so much about this shitcoins, it is now easy for me to identify any, truly ignorance can be a real cause to a victim. I would not call taking part of this shitcoin a bad choice but it should not be seen as an investment for a life time, any experienced investor understands that there is more to risk than to gain, many call it an investment gambling because the odds to make that huge profits as hyped by the team is less than coming true. It is important to make right choices, Bitcoin has it's potentials and it is difficult to get any project that can give exact value, it is better to get simpler return of investment than losing everything all in the course of chasing big profits from this shitcoins.

Altcoins is for short term and if you take them seriously there's a huge chance for you to get caught by some rug pull schemes happening in the scene. But if you focus yourself on bitcoin then for sure that you will never face that scamming situation since many time it proves that this coin remain reliable for many years of its existence. But if you can't avoid to invest with alts better don't take it for long term since you know the consequences that will happen and drop it when you are in profit.

To many hype around that's why aside for being an aggressive investor we also need to know different methods that can help us to increase our chance to earn and also know some points on when we can pull out so that there's no regret for missing good opportunities around that will come up on our side.

Newbies only see what other people get from crypto and thinks that they can get the same. When other people make a big profit, newbies will thinks that they can be rich like other people. They don't realize that investing in Bitcoin needs time so they must be patience waiting for the time to sell their Bitcoin investment.

Once they watch some people make a big profit from crypto especially from the new project, they are tempting to follow those people without thinks that they must research before follows.

Newbies must know how to research to find the right project that can gives them profit in the future. They don't have follow other people to invest in new project especially if they can not research. It is better they stick to Bitcoin investment and use DCA methods for their investment.

But if they want to invest in new project, they must use the money they can afford to lose. That is the prevention they can do from the big lost that may happen anytime.

If only Newbies would realize the underlying risks associated with putting their money into buying and trading or holding shitcoins, then they’ll really run as far away as they can from it. A lot of these projects promises high ROI in order to attract investors, and then surround the project with hype, causing investors to feel that the project is the next big thing in the space while in reality, it’s just one of those pump and dump shitty projects that the devs are just cooking the coin and waiting for the right time to dump and run away with the profits.

Bitcoin on the other hand may indeed be too expensive to buy, it’s not even necessary that you need to buy a whole Bitcoin, you could just buy in sats and hodl for the long term, and you’ll still make even bigger profits in the long term, which of course is a lot more safer and profitable than gambling on shitcoins that carries high risks of crash at anytime.
because beginners see people who make a profit in a short time with shitcoin or meme coin, making them more interested in those coins than Bitcoin.
not all beginners will have good knowledge references to choose Bitcoin over other coins. even more beginners are interested in the crypto market knowing from social media that talks about the success of investing in certain tokens.
I agree if beginners focus on investing in Bitcoin, then not many beginners will complain about being deceived by shitcoin investments. local centralized exchanges sometimes also share how the price spike of altcoins might attract beginners to choose altcoins over Bitcoin with little knowledge.

Because newbies are never experts about crypto so they would have faced a lot of losses while investing in other coins.  And the reason why beginners are more interested in investing in Bitcoin is because of the attractive price of Bitcoin. And nowadays because of Donald Trump and Elon Musk's positive talk about Bitcoin, people are starting to trust Bitcoin and that's why every newbies is interested in investing only in Bitcoin.

Although it's true that Bitcoin is the best option available in the market if someone is looking for long-term investment options, I believe different people will have different investment and financial goals, and to achieve those targets, they will have to choose assets accordingly.

If you are someone who has $1,000 and wants to get about $200 to $300 within a month, you might not be able to get that from Bitcoin because you can't always expect quick returns from Bitcoin. In such situations, you will have to find opportunities that can help you achieve your target, and that is mostly possible through altcoins.

That being said, trading altcoins contains a lot of risks, and it's not as easy as some might think. Before you start buying altcoins, make sure you do enough research so that you can buy altcoins that have the potential to give you the returns you are looking for instead of making you lose money.

I believe if people stick around with crypto for a while they'll realize that, but the allure of making 10x gains from participating in an airdrop, buying small marketcap tokens, etc is hard to resist since most of us don't have experience with investments before. At least that's what I see from my local community. These young people want to make money in 3-5 years but their capital is too small to make a difference if they buy conservative assets, or are led by someone who has other intentions other than helping them learn the market and its risks.
Making money from airdrops is good, but airdops have many types and if you have to use your money to do tasks in airdops, risk starts to rise. I only would like to join airdrop that is free like with Testnet tasks, but airdrop distributions for Testnet are usually not too big. Tasks on Main net require Airdrop Hunters to invest money to buy the native currency of a blockchain, it's risky.

Not all airdrops are profitable just like bounties in the past and after hottest airdrop months in 2023, now airdrops start to become less profitable.

Theres no such thing as shortcut to wealth and financial freedom. You arent wrong bitcoin is a long term goal asset for hold, but investing too in altcoins can reward you in the long run as long as you pick a good project for that. There are many alts that give multiple profits from a very low cap buy and thats something we need to learn and understand.

We cant go back in time to buy more bitcoin now but onky to dca. Since we have prefences and other options we can utilize that on the best on of our ability.

truth is that most newbies are not even investing in bitcoin or some shitcoin as per the literal concept of long term investment. they just want to get into something that will give them quick profit and that is why regardless of how you discourage them from investing in shitcoin they will continue to go into that because that's the kind of thing they are looking for; an asset that is very volatile and that overnight can just yield them fast profit. there are a lot of newbie investors that have started gathering some shitcoin already with the hope that the effect of the coming world cup will create a massive pump of those coin. there source of information might be unknown to me but it is how most of them do and end up gathering and investing into some shitcoin that is already dead on arrival.

investing in bitcoin is for real men that are disciplined enough to look at the future and not necessarily looking out for short term benefit. regardless of your rank or level of knowledge in the crypto space, be you newbie or an old investor, if your mindset is not tuned to the fact that you want to invest for the long term, investing in bitcoin is going to look very difficult for you. quick wealth is a major distraction to most bitcoin investors be it newbies or old timers.

Things are changed, now is not years ago. Before now it used to be only BTC that is trustworthy. But now there are other good altcoins in the top 10 that can give you good profits.

Infact, we have got meme coins which has even lasted a decade and still existing. I will only say you should avoid shitcoins and not good altcoins.
Bitcoin is best and safest while altcoins are worse and unsafe. During a bull market like two years, top altcoins can give you very good profit but profitability and safety for your fund are different. About safety of your fund, altcoins are not good, even top altcoins.

History says it.
Don't buy altcoins because they are top altcoins

You can invest your money in altcoins like top altcoins in a bull market, hold it and get profit only during a bull market. After bull market ending, in very first month of a bear market, you must exit all your positions with altcoins, and convert them to bitcoin or cash.

What makes people to pursuet quick it is because of the one to get money and there's nothing they can do but for me I cannot support such emotion that you should not look for how you will make a word very quick but only Factor I consider very much is the factor of risk and is very clear anyone who lose can easily go depressed and what makes people to lose some thousand time is because they don't know the rudiment of it so I believe that is one of the things that makes some people to lose in anything that they are doing lack of research is one of the major reason

Investing in Bitcoin is good advice, which I will never stop giving newbies if they ask for my honest review, but I can't stop anyone from investing in altcoins. They should always do their own research and make their decision. If they believe they can, then they should go ahead.

After someone I gave advice to avoid pump tokens and focus only on Bitcoin and other major projects token slammed me with an allegation that I'm the reason why he missed a particular token, if I had not given him the advice to avoid shitcoins, he could have been lucky with one like his friend, the best advice I give now is DYOR; if the outcome says invest, then I can't stop them.

Underestimate- nothing
Beginners are afraid of the price of Bitcoin without understanding all the intricacies of its purchase; they are fascinated by the low price of alternative coins, which, in their opinion, should grow very quickly. But those who once lost a lot of their money on investing in altcoins, having gained experience and understood the full value of Bitcoin, will not only invest in it but also ardently dissuade all their uneducated friends from wasting money and investing unreasonably. I see the right advice when beginners are offered to start with Bitcoin, diversifying their portfolio only when they understand which coins besides Bitcoin should be bought.

And there is nothing wrong with focusing on bitcoin alone, and people are just not understanding that you don't have to have all the whole money to buy one bitcoin but it's an investment that you can invest in fractions so you can buy what you can afford, and people think that since they can not afford bitcoin they would have gone for other affordable options but how sure will they yield anything, most coins anyone will want to fallback on, but in some cases it is not actually worth it, only few alternative coins make it alive in the market but since there are other coins that can be invested in that is why a lot of people are shifting there attention to does coins.

All this things happens because they don't understand, they have to choose clearly the kind of game they play, the entire market is a game, so it's better to know how to play it the earlier the better. And beginners are always fallen victim of all the wrong decisions in bitcoin and shitcoins invest and just because other people do it comfortably those not mean you will also be able to succeed in it.

If you tell some people that they have to wait for four years or more to start reaping from Bitcoin investment, many of them will not accept. These days almost everybody is in a fast lane and wants to make profit immediately.
Even though some newbies will not accept it, the truth is that it is the only way to fully enjoy investing in Bitcoin and anything contrary to that is like trial by error. Those who accept the waiting and put it to practice will surely reap the reward and those who want to follow the fast way will also learn the hard way if something goes wrong with their approach. The good thing about forum like this is that the newbies now have the opportunity of learning from the experience of those who have been through the various stages of Bitcoin development.

These shitcoins are usually highly publicizes with celebrities endorsing them. With the hype caused by planned advertisement and promotion, newbies are naturally attracted to these scam projects. I just hope these influencers and celebrities will be held responsible for these careless promotions.

I have many of these altcoins chasers in my neighborhood. Some of them have more than fifty different coins in wallets but the worth of them all is less than $50. But they would have made more money if they had focused on only Bitcoin. It is now clear that it is not in the quantity but the quality of the coin.
This is actually the problem and part of the reason I made those post because I have seen some of those noise on social media as Bitcoin is rising. Many shitcoins are leveraging on the news of the pump to promote their project even using celebrities and influencers. Newbies have to know that those are just hypes that fades away very fast taking their monies along if they are not careful to resist the hype.

There is no shortcut to wealth at all especially not in the crypto world, everyone you seebin the crypto space that is successful didn’t just make it overnight and newbies need to put this at the back of their minds. The market is risky and you can’t outsmart it by trying to invest in low cap tokens, by doing so you’re just going to waste your time and resources. You should invest in Bitcoin or well stable altcoins and hold for a long time if you must invest in altcoins.

The fact that altcoins in a bull run can bring more profit is an undeniable fact. The problem for beginners is that they cannot choose the right altcoin to buy, preferring, for example, some shitcoin instead of ETH.
That is just the major problem beginners are facing when it comes to investing in altcoins, it is very difficult for them to identify the right taltcoins to invest in and that’s why they end up investing in the wrong ones which results in losses.

Bitcoin is just the right investment for every beginners but they are probably scared of its price and think if they go for altcoins with low prices it will benefit them more, some don’t even carry out research on them they just invest ignorantly. There are too many altcoins in the market and without proper research your chances of investing in a good project is very low.

Its important that those who just started investing in cryptocurrency first take a look at how Bitcoin works, because from learning how Bitcoin works, we get ideas on how decentralization and peer-to-peer work, which are the basic principles of cryptocurrency. Even if a newbie is attracted to quick profit brought by memes, its imperative to learn Bitcoin core principles. Possibly upon they saw the price of the bitcoin they think they are already late with the market trend of the bitcoin so one of the best things they could see is to join the ride with the market of the altcoins, some of them expect that meme coins and other shitcoins is a good investment because it could return a high-profit value but not all the time they have the same picture because these coins are the higher risk because they have the low cap and possible there's market manipulation unlike with the bitcoin. There's nothing wrong with buying altcoins but make sure you know whats the purpose of the coin so to identify if this coin has potential. There's a sequence every bull run after the bitcoin goes pump the eth and alts will now follow but make sure you accumulate a worth tokens.

If you tell some people that they have to wait for four years or more to start reaping from Bitcoin investment, many of them will not accept. These days almost everybody is in a fast lane and wants to make profit immediately.

New investors in cryptocurrencies mostly make big mistake by trying to get rich quickly with small unknown coins. They think Bitcoin is too expensive but this approach mostly leads to losing money to scams. Instead of this it is better to start with Bitcoin which is reliable and well known cryptocurrency. Do not fall for promises of quick wealth from new projects as they are mostly scams or have unrealistic expectations. Focus on learning and investing wisely for long term like 5-10 years. This approach may not be exciting but it is more sustainable way to build wealth. Investing in Bitcoin and other established cryptocurrencies can help you achieve your financial goals.

There are people who has been in crypto-currency for a long time and still they are losing in their low cap altcoins investments and their are newbie with zero knowledge who are winning in their low cap altcoins investments.
Low cap altcoins investments poses as risk to both the experience and the non experience especially when they are easily manipulated and based of hype.
Altcoins are more risky than Bitcoin and engage with altcoins increasing risk of capital loss, not capital gain.

Quote
I am not saying that low cap gems can give an investor their expected ROI but it's a long shot and to mitigate loses Some investors buys lots of different low cap altcoins hoping one would break through but still their are higher chances that non would give the expected results.
Crypto-currency is not a quick wealth opportunity, buy Bitcoin and Hodl.
You can win with your bets in altcoins, in some bets but they're different than winning a battle. In a long term, the more engagement you have with altcoins, the higher risk for your capital, and probability to end with capital loss becomes bigger. It's especially true in a bear market.

It is all about our timing, knowledge and still following the fundamentals one of which is to invest only the amount that if it is lost , you won't be pained. And if you as a complete newbie don't know where to start, start with Bitcoin, it is the safest.

We can share different sentiments on this and still have the same goal. Yes, it is true that newbies should focus on buying Bitcoin but there is also another side of the argument that newbies who understand how cryptocurrency work and have done their home work can also invest in other altcoins with the goal of cashing out when it pumps and investing it in Bitcoin.

Trust the process, imbibe consistency
