I bought RAM memory ages ago but it was regularly with dollars.
Im waiting for ebay to adopt BTC so I can buy literally anything I want with it.

then you need to wait for paypal and everything will be bought with bitcoin, but personally i'm still waiting for amazon, which could really make the difference if btc would be adopted by them

We do accept Bitcoin as the payment, however not all items are eligible. Bitcoin is not eligible for the following orders:
International order
Will Call order
Newegg digital gift card
Premier Membership Subscription
Pre-order
Return label (online and offline)
Marketplace

You may check if the item you were trying to order is eligible.

Hmm interesting that they exclude some items but I wonder for what reason they do it ?
They made that choice of exclude some sections of their shop probably due to fact that bitcoin price is highly volatile and/or to prevent from buying something like Newegg digital gift card or items which you can easily resell. But by doing this they demonstrated that bitcoin is not really valid payment method they are expecting. Sad.

Merchant adoption = Sell pressure on Btc. Ergo, slow bleeding death of Btc.

I use them all the time. I get some gift cards with Bitcoin there. Mostly Dominos gift cards because I don't know anyone selling it.

maybe there are some items that cannot be bought with bitcoin? or they just removed it because they are waiting for paypal to integrate bitcoin

but if i remeber well,
newEgg it delivery just in USA...

in EU it is not possile to buy from newEgg...

or recently, the things are changed???

it still for usa only, but among the language, you can see that there are others(many others)i don't know if they ship to that too, or it is only for the front page...

that's weird. if you accept bitcoin then there is no reason to exclude the purchase of certain things. it really doesn't make sense. did you ask them what the reason was for that?

if you read carefully, those thing that they are not accepting bitcoin, are n ot physical items, they more like services, maybe there are legal issue or security issue
Probably security reasons since you can't refund the bitcoin or some short of other thing. But I would bet it's because of security reasons that they don't accept bitcoin for the listed services.

Doubtful the customer service rep is privy to legals reasoning for not accepting BTC for certain items.

I use them. Never had a problem. If you think about the list of disallowed items, they do make sense as these are all atypical transactions.

They probably saw that there is no interest for bitcoin as payment option on their shop and decided to remove it. Try to contact them and see what the matter is.

I'm not sure... I tried to do a live chat and no one joined for over 10 minutes, so I decided to send and email.  I'll update this thread when I hear back from them.

Has anyone used BTC with NewEgg recently?  I no longer have BTC as an option under "Billing" during checkout.
