.tv is own by Tuvalu a tiny island nation in the Pacific. It would be interesting to see the whole island embrace bitcoins one day.

Let's hope the news will spread among bigger companies to increase adoption.

Yeah they might definitely consider it even more seriously once they see the extra amount that Twitch is pulling in by accepting BTC.

If everyone reading here would just log into their Amazon account, went to the help section, pressed contact us and asked if they plan to accept BTC in future it would speed up adoption a lot. Talking around the forum about it is really not doing anything at all. If there were a mail to amazon or some others for every post in this forum, then big adoption would be much closer.

see how easy it is:

yep its that easy, takes 1min and it helps a lot because if they get 100 every week for a month or so, they do pass it up the chain and then it gets considered (sorry for the bad highlighting, my snip tool is acting weird...)

I didn't know that Twitch adopted bitcoins, this great news could stop the current bitcoin downtrend and start a new bullish period maybe.

This is great news to see that Twitch is now accepting bitcoin however just because Amazon acquired it last week I still don't feel they will accept bitcoin on their merchant website purely because there is not enough demand for it even though we should really be pushing more for them to start using it. Who knows maybe accepting it on Twitch may give them an insight as to why they should begin to consider it on Amazon.

The educated guess here is that mass btc adoption erodes the lower processing fee advantage that its scale confers on Amazon vis-a-vis its competitors
If Twitch continues to accept btc, guess we can say Amazon has adopted btc?

Well they now have a stablished platform who accepts bitcoins, if they see there is a potential market (and maybe even transaction fees saving) they will do it.

If amazon are saying customers arent demanding bitcoin i think its time we start demanding.

Its a crazy statement by amazon though really, customers want products when using amazon first and foremost, their means of transaction really not so important.  Merchants save money by using bitcoin.
