How does the chat work on PiggyBank wallet?
Is it via the blockchain or does it work with irc?

It's just IRC.  It takes you to #piggy on irc.freenode.net

Ah! I see.

I like chat in wallets - pools and exchanges have them so why not wallets!

Yes, the default wallet created would have no password as well as the "staking=" directive of newpiggycoin.conf would be on. So as soon as coins entered that wallet they would be able to stake after 8 hours.

If you encrypted the wallet (set a password), then the wallet would need to be unlocked via walletpassphrase.

There is a really good guide here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/ppcoin-proof-of-stake-minting-setup-guide-187714 that applies equally to PIGGY to setup a "MintBox".

Grin

I just spotted the 'getstakinginfo' command - and it is staking by default.  Tongue

Guess it's a lot like hobonickels but a lot easier to compile from past experience of HBN.

How do you start staking on the daemon - newpiggycoind?  Wink

Does it start as default?
