I guess you should sweep the funds on your old wallet address to the new address you created on electrum.
Import the private keys on electrum and sweep your funds there, there would be an option on the tabs of electrum I forget if where do you can find that since Im away to my PC, but its just right there. Then once you've done it all the funds from your old address will be sent to your new wallet's address

If you search for your address in a block explorer, can you see the funds in it? If yes, then this is probably just a display issue (very unlikely). If not, then your funds might be lost, somehow. So again, If you could see them, go to the addresses tab, right click on the address and export the private keys (show QR too). Install Coinomi in your phone, scan the generated QRcode and your funds should be added there (If you have any).

I tried to do this from another website. (Move all of your Bitcoins to a new Electrum wallet (create a new wallet through file – new/restore. You’re doing this so that if any of the private keys you exported are compromised in some way, your Bitcoins will be in a new address with a different private key.) I ended up with two wallets. wallet1 wallet2, that I created now the wallet has $0 in both wallets. I did use the old private key to get my bitcoin cash. my new private keys work but show no bitcoins. need help to fix wallet
