It is one thing to see how these events have influenced the price when you are looking back and entirely different to work out possible impact in real-time.

Absolutely. It seems to be very tough to correctly predict the future Smiley

Yes there are news sites, but there are not many (if any) sites in which those news and info is analyzed... there are lots of that for the stock market and perhaps it is something crypto lacks.

you are unaware of google.com go there and search what you need,

for bitcoin news you can check out coindesk it also has a price section with a nice chart of most of the exchangers.
for price and charts you can visit bitcoinwisdom.com
for altcoin price and charts you can visit coinmarketcap.com

p.s. the news and rumors may not be as powerful as you might think.

You are absolutely right about the services listed. By what can you say regarding the following researches? The correlation between news and prices exist.
- http://www.vatsals.com/Essays/MachineLearningTechniquesforStockPrediction.pdf (Stock Prediction based on Textual Analysis of Financial News Articles)

Certainly they cover stock markets but I believe crypto market depend on such factors even more. Or I'm just a dreamer? Smiley

There are lots of places like crypto blog like coindesk, newsbtc, twitter handler of well known traders, speculation thread and altcoin discussion category in this forum. You will not find one place with all the info about what to buy and what to sell.

Yes, and that is the question why such a tool does not exist. Is it useless or just very hard to be built?

And if it is the market data (prices, volumes) you are after, the best and most comprehensive source I know is http://www.bitcoinity.org/

Yep! Very useful tool. Thanks a lot!

Hey there!

I'm quite a newbie in the field of crypto markets. But I was really surprised not to find a tool for monitoring news background regarding Bitcoin or some altcoin. Everybody knows that crypto currencies hugely depend on rumors, news, opinions and so on.

Or am I just unaware and such tools do exist?

Thank you in advance.
