I should add that the term going around the net for this is "Touch Disease"
I prefer to call it "Touch-Gate" though ..like "Bend-gate" (which some say is possibly related)
So if you Google search it use the first term Wink

I seen a news story about a Mac virus today and i right away remembered a co-worker that said they can't get a virus so his machine was better than my windows based machine way back.
This was the 2nd time the Apple Mac program was targeted too !
https://torrentfreak.com/attackers-infect-transmission-torrent-client-with-os-x-malware-160831/

I have to admit i never really used any Apple stuff.
But i have been reading about them on tech sites etc for a decade or two.
I would rather deal with Windows or Linux (just not Win10)

But back on topic..
There has been people report their warranty expired so they can't get their v6 phone fixed.
So get on it people.. if it's getting sketchy now it's only gonna get worse !

Then when you get your phone fixed.. sell it on eBay and buy an Android phone  Grin

But seriously though, i feel for them.. they must feel cheated !
They are suppose to be a semi-premium phone i always figured.

I have an Android phone that i am satisfied with and it was cheap too !
A Motorola one with a clean version of Android on it.

If you pay extra then you should get "extra" Roll Eyes

My Moto phone is flawless and i love it.. cheap as dirt too Smiley
I'm using Moto G(2015) and it works like a charm even after a year, never reset and yet it never lags and here's the best part: it gets version updates/security patches quickly too!

I really don't like Apple. Today I read a comment from an Apple fan that they got a 2016 Windows laptop from Dell that cost around $350, and that her Macbook from around 2008 is still faster, perform better, etc. They didn't seem to know anything about specs the way it was described. And they seemed to think that what drives a computer's power is the company that made, and not the components, CPU model, etc. That the insides are made from the same companies.

I agree that for premium price you should get a premium product which is why I haven't purchased a new iPhone for myself ever, even though I own several 2nd or possibly 3rd hand models.  Lots of times I paid the upgrade fee for friends and took their old iPhone off their hands.  The aging parents were able to learn to use them relatively easily and we can keep in touch via iMessage (no program to maintain and no advertising) so they don't really need cell phone service; just pay-as-you-play for emergencies.  I've only ever had to replace batteries in them - they are quite durable.
I would never have bought even one iPhone but a friend tossed me his old iPhone world phone for free (he felt sorry for me looking at the tiny little screen on my motorola v3).  Once I figured out jailbreaking and unlocking, I was hooked... on used iPhones!  New ones? Never!  My goto phone is the Asus Zenfone2... aside from the camera being crap in low light conditions, it's an awesome phone at a reasonable price and dual sims is great.

Agreed and funny  Cheesy

I have an Android phone that i am satisfied with and it was cheap too !
A Motorola one with a clean version of Android on it.

Never had an iPhone and i doubt i ever will.
They long ago had the reputation of having premium products
but Bend-Gate and the antennae crap (your holding it wrong comment from apple)
are a couple examples of them clearly not doing proper testing etc.

In other words they are not making "premium" products.
The touch issue mentioned here is because of sloppy design on the chips.

If you pay extra then you should get "extra" Roll Eyes

My Moto phone is flawless and i love it.. cheap as dirt too Smiley

Anyway..
Many people still may not know about this.
I posted because it's funny and that some users may not think much of it.
Having touch-screen problems ? Now you know why.
And if you are not ?
..you will be soon 100% guaranteed !

So i will have a laugh and help spread the word to those affected by this.
No idea how long the warranties last but get them replaced before it's too late !

Ahh! You're holding it wrong.tm
Apple eventually makes good on known deficiencies.  I'm pretty sure that free replacement is built into the pricing; otherwise I can't understand why people would pay so much for a phone.  Maybe we all just need another free bumper.

An internal defect is causing iPhone 6 and 6 Plus devices to lose touch functionality

Quote
A design defect has been plaguing iPhone 6 and 6 Plus devices worldwide.

In a report by iFixit, a company known to tear down the latest gadgets for repair today, many of the aforementioned Apple devices are experiencing an unresponsive touchscreen, as well as a 'gray, flickering bar at the top of the display.' The issue has been dubbed 'Touch Disease,' and while there has not been any official record of how many devices are affected, repair techs are saying that the problem is incredibly common.

Uhhh Ohhhh  Shocked

Apparently this has been known for a year.
Although Apple STILL does not admit it's a problem.

Get yours fixed before the warranty expires !
..then buy an Android Phone  Grin
