If Nike wasn't run by a bunch of leftist hypocrites...

So your saying you should sign up for something even if you get killed by friendly fire and the government military PR tries to cover it up?

Not sure your point. Smiley

The conspiracy theories aside, if you have TB12 for the foreseeable future, and you have a hot arm'd kid that's itching for (and deserving of) a starting job, you wouldn't want him anywhere near your division, and out of your conference is even better.  I'm sure that had something to do with Belichick's thinking.

You're probably right about the Niners needing another year to be a serious contender, but I can dream.

Absolutely.  I imagine he’ll have the opportunity to prove himself in the playoffs this year.  The most impressive thing was watching 5 straight wins with the same team that earned a 1 and 9 record before he took to the field.  All that with the team’s best receiver on injured reserve.  If he can maintain the same level of confidence going into the playoffs that he had going into that first drive against the Seahawks, he’ll do fine.
Yeah I know, I am a Patriots fan and I really think that trade was a complete steal for the San Francisco 49ers they could have easily got more for him if they traded him to the Cleveland Browns and the only way I can understand that trade is if some of the conspiracy theories regarding that trade are in fact true, personally I agree with you I think he will have a chance to play in the playoffs this year, but I think this is going to be another year for him to learn and he will have his real chance to get to the Super Bowl in the year after that one, after all the 49ers were a terrible team and as soon as he took control of that team they became the hottest team in the NFL.

Any American Football fans here?

Here's my prediction:  If Jimmy Garoppolo stays healthy the Niners will beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl.

Garappolo seems like the real deal and I think that trade with the Patriots is going to be talked about for a lot of time if Jimmy becomes successful, but I would like to wait and see him in the playoffs, there are many QB that seems like the best ever but as soon as they enter the playoffs they become average, this is the case of Payton Manning, he was a superstar in the regular season but when things mattered he only got one championship, I know he got two but in the second ring he got he was carried by the defense and in fact we can say that they won that game despite him and not because of him, so in my opinion Garoppolo still has to prove himself in the playoffs.

From a historical gambling perspective, betting on whoever the cleveland browns are playing might be a winning strategy for the upcoming 2018 season. The browns went 0-16 last year in 2017 (0 wins and 16 losses) and didn't do well in 2016. The same could be said of the 49'ers and other losing teams if they haven't changed too much in their lineups. On the opposite end of the spectrum, the patriots could be a good team to bet on if they're serious about playing this year.

Betting against the worst teams and with the best is the most obvious strategy, from my perspective.

I haven't kept up with draft picks or current events. I look forward to seeing how serious the Eagles are this year after pulling off an upset against the Patriots in 2017.
