National anthem of any country should not be politicized. It must be respected by all the citizens. And the playing of national anthem is not an occasion to protest against racial inequality and police shootings. As far as I know, Francis Scott Key and John Stafford Smith did no harm to any black person.

NFL players across the league on Sunday registered their outrage at President Donald Trump’s harsh comments suggesting the league fire players who opt against standing for the National Anthem as a means of protesting police brutality and racial inequality.

I think its ironic, that people who receive a seven figure salary and who live in arguably one of the freest countries in the World, are complaining about injustice and inequality.

Not something that I support in the least, though I do understand that people DO have the right to do this sort of protest. I'd like to hear the opinons of people on the boards, as I know we're a community of people around the world which may see this in different lights.

I'll start with saying that I don't think that not standing for the flag is something that is protesting today, I think that when you refuse to stand for the flag you're refusing to respect the ideals, the freedoms, and everything that this nation has gone through. This is my personal view and I do expect for people to disagree with it.
