I still do not know why people are attracted to NFTs, the tokens are used to provide private to the digital art pieces (or anything digital), so there can be many of the digital arts, but only the one valuable is the one that someone has the private key to its token.
Not only that, but those individual art pieces that NFTs are, can be found and downloaded for free. I can have it and see it without buying it. Buying it only gives me possession of something that is publicly available.
Maybe I can agree on your statement about temporary hype but this temporary thing could go beyond what we expect.
If and when that happens and if see the things mprep was talking about happen in the altcoin boards, creating a new sub would make sense.
I think there are valid reasons to create a new sub-board for the Lightning Network, but that still hasn't happened (although it seems that might change soon). After that experiment, the admins could consider further expansion.
One way to make them aware of how popular NFTs are (if they are), is for someone to compile all the NFT discussions in one thread the way I did with Lightning Network threads. That way everyone can see what numbers we are really talking about.
