The trailer airdrop took some time but they got it done.  Now they're airdropped "critters" and "trailers" so it seems like they are building something.  They haven't announced use cases for the critters and trailers but I imagine something is in the works.  Still a bit early to say but I wouldn't be surprised if they were trying to build some sort of Gimmicks metaverse as it appears the groundwork is being laid out.  With the amount of work going into this project, it is a bit shocking how cheap the NFTs are.  I'm not a promoter of Solana or NFTs really (I have created a collection on ETH I currently am selling) but these appear to the layman to be undervalued a bit considering the celebrities involved, the show that's already been created, and now the airdrops alluding to something big coming...

The first season of the Gimmicks cartoons is in the books.  Not a bad watch if you like South Park or WWE.  I'm not even a fan of either, but still enjoy the cartoon.  With the first season now completed, we await the battle of the Armadillos vs Robot Chickens.  I expect we'll see more of Seth Green in season 2 and who knows, maybe this show will get on Adult Swim before it's all said and done.  They also signed a deal to distribute merchandise Hot Topic.  Tomorrow they're doing a free airdrop of trailers for Gimmicks holders.  Worth taking a look if you're into NFTs...

After participating in this project for a little bit I can say that it's got some cool additions to the NFT world that I think are a bit unique.  Besides the cartoon and choose your own adventure angle, there's also something that sounds ridiculous, but is pretty cool.  They have weekly contests with rewards for people who are participating with the sending of "DIC Punches" by giving them free NFTs.  Additionally, they keep stats like who has given out the most "DIC Punches" which makes having an NFT with a lot of punches thrown more valuable.  This is the first time I've seen an NFT project where participation can directly result in you giving your NFT more value.  I think this is a great concept that will eventually be appreciated.  I'm considering it a bit of a proof of concept as it's too ridiculous to be taken too seriously, but if you are into NFTs and don't understand people talking about utility, this is a good example of ways NFTs can have unique utility, in this case allowing users to add value to their NFTs through participation.  Worth a look to see how NFTs are evolving.

Anyone taking part in the "choose your own adventure" series, Gimmicks?  It's a Solana NFT by Mila Kunis' production company where holders get to vote on what will happen in the next week's episode.  For voting, you receive tokens called "DIC Punch" and can send them to other Gimmicks NFT owners.  They've been around since 2020 and have only recently released their NFT collection.  It's worth checking out.  The episodes are free to watch on their website and the NFTs themselves are only around $30 to be a part of the adventure.
