maybe Dwolla's strategy is this :

bitcoin will eventually kill us,
lets take now as much as we can,
not  waste or lives and energy into that
use money for something with possible better future

I dunno, anyone that says “I’m the dumbest guy in the room” is gonna want to have an IQ of 200+ to have any credibility whatsoever. And he doesnt look too smart to me...

The only thing that matters about Dwolla right now? Is your entire company's selling point bullshit, or not?

this.

and one would think - given that Bitcoin probably represents the majority of dwolla's business - that they would have the courtesy to show up here and offer some kind of explanation.

but no.

i guess it all pretty much explains all the iowa jokes that are so prevalent up here in the great midwest of the US...

I don't really care about the look of their CEO, or how many employees they have (I've run and/or been involved in small businesses that are 2-3 man shows that successfully put forth an aire of having many more employees, it's all about customer relations rather than straight numbers). We know MtGox is a two-man show and probably not much more, we know Tradehill is less than 50 employees on their best day. None of that matters.

The only thing that matters about Dwolla right now? Is your entire company's selling point bullshit, or not?

We were told "no chargeback concerns", now it's blown up "oopsie, there are disputes and the process is straightforward... would you like to file a dispute?". What next? We were told 25c, that's 5c cheaper than Paypal/Google Checkout's transaction fee and completely eliminates their commission. Is that going to turn out to be bullshit too?

From what I've seen I'd be shocked if they have more than 10 employees.

My favorite quotes from Dwolla CEO

“I’m the dumbest guy in the room,” said Milne, who spoke to a Business Innovation Zone of Central Iowa event.

“Can you really see me running a company of 1,000 people?” said Milne, who was wearing a “I Dwolla in DSM” T-shirt, jeans and sneakers during his presentation at the Greater Des Moines Partnership.

Maybe you one of those 1,000 people should be a PR guy....

i find it difficult to believe they'd have 1000 employees given how poorly trained their phone support is.

You have to translate Dwolla language to english.

1000 employees = 5 guys in America and support center in India.
