An Islamic State-run media outlet says the man who drove his truck into a crowd in the French coastal city of Nice is a "soldier" of the group. The Aamaq news agency on Saturday cited a "security source" as saying the attacker "carried out the operation in response to calls to target the citizens of coalition countries fighting the Islamic State."

You sure religion had anything to do with this? From what I read he wasn't a practicing muslim. Or religious at all. And last I saw there were no known links to terrorist organizations. Isis or others. Not that isis represents islam.

France has a rise of nationalist / extreme right. Media will never report if he would be a fanatic muslim, muslims/nationalist would start a civil war. Socialists want to stay in power at all cost.

I dont even get why do people forgive someone who killed a child ( does not matter if it was on purpose,or by accident ),i think
that if the person done something stupid which caused the child death,he should get death sentence for it,unless it was not his fault/
