just use stratum+tcp://sha256asicboost.EU.nicehash.com:3368
had same issue on my S17's
problem solved for me

Thank you only if you told me this earlier  Grin, nicehash also give me this solution and it worked, after almost a week from talking about this problem .

Yeah the new firmware prevents nicehash due to.the constant switching nicehash causes.  I would not use nicehash with t17 t17e t17+ gear.

Or any type of.s17 gear.

Constant switching requires the use of #xnsub. Was this removed from newer gear?

I agree that nicehash isn't the best way of running a sha256 miner, and they have shady past record forcing loses to their clients when hacked, etc.

i have latest T17 firmware and it work fine nicehash.  i tried overclock firmware, and in that case nicehash didn't reconized it

you have to do it by SD, bec it overide the downgrade protection.

you tried this version (Antminer-T17-user-OM-201912241613-sig_5047.tar.gz) with nicehash and it works ?
if that's the case can you please send me your kernel log file and how did you put the pools in the miner configurations same port for all the 3 or how, i will try exactly like you maybe it will work

if you use a non signed firmware ( like AsicTuner overclock ), it wont work on NiceHash ( maybe not compatible with their "Asicboost" ? ). But if you use original firmware, even the latest, it works perfectly.

To downgare, just recover 1st firmware ( not on their website, they removed it ), put on SD and flash it through the Sd reader.

do you have T17 miner with the latest update and nicehash do work for you ?

Are you sure about the firmware if it's a signed firmware?
if it's unsigned firmware it won't work but if you flash it with sig firmware it should be work.

Anyway, if your miner has an SD card slot you can try to contact bitmain and ask for an SD card image. I'm sure their image is a lower version.

You can follow this guide from here SD card flashing with customized PW

yeah i downloaded it from there website before the last one (i keep all the upgrade files on my pc), strange why i can't downgrade !
i will try the SD thing hope it will work, thank you .

You can downgrade it with signed firmware but it looks like Bitmain always remove older version from their download page.

Maybe some user here who use the same miner has a backup or older firmware version but I don't recommend to download them from unknown source unless if they have a bitmain direct link of older version.

OP you should really pay close attention to this, switching coins is really bad for your miner, I heard this elsewhere before and I thought it was a complete bullshit until I experienced it myself, it was not with any SHA256 miner but with X11 and a couple of D3s, more than 50% of the hashboards that were mining on nicehash stopped working, the miners that were pointed to another pool mining dash directly lived a lot longer.

I have no technical explanations behind this, I am having a hard time saying this because it's hard to believe, I couldn't believe it when I heard it because it made no sense then, still makes no sense now to be honest, you either take my words for it, or simply ignore them.

if you mean using the upgrade process and choose the old firmware i already tried that and got this error (RUNME:cannot downgrade!!!) system upgrade failed , is there a way to bypass that

so there is no way to use nice hash now ? is there a way to go back to my old firmware

I don't recommend to use nicehash pool because it will give you little reward compared to other pools. If you are having issue on Nicehash better use other mining pool for BTC.

Check other SHA256 pools from this link https://miningpoolstats.stream/bitcoin

or Try viaBTC pool it is better than Nicehash.

well it's the best from my perspective and i did try to compare it and found it gives me the highest reward i don't know how and why, thanks for the advice .

Hello,

I have a problem regarding nicehash after the last update the T17 won't work when i use nicehash pool the hashrate remains zero in the miner state , i tried to go back to my old firmware but i couldn't , any ideas for the cause of this problem and solutions , thanks in advance .

this one is working just fine with nicehash : Antminer-T17-user-OM-201912051119-sig_4803.tar
the problem is with this : Antminer-T17-user-OM-201912241613-sig_5047.tar

I also tried another pool and it was working fine the problem is with nicehash only !
