The price of Bitcoin is continuously increasing in the market, So, I doubt that they can give a full payment for what you are expecting it to them. Perhaps, you know also when Bitcoin spike its price value in the market, the majority of the altcoins got dumped their prices also some of the mining too are got affected as well.

They will pay repayment, Nicehash is quite large company, in any case you can contact staff via Facebook. Look here https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/nicehash-keeps-the-promise-and-will-fully-reimburse-its-users
I saw that update and they've posted it on NH's Facebook page. That was surprising for those who were affected of the incident that had happened and don't expect it anymore.

They say the keywords "fully" even before and trying to fulfill that promise. But there's another catch, there is a problem with their website and it cannot be reached.

Yes, users will get reimbursed in full - all 100%! Save the date, we will reimburse all the remaining funds on Wednesday, December 16, 2020!
If Bitcoin continues to rise, it will be difficult for them to fulfill this commitment and it will be very costly.
What are they trying to gain from refunds? The reputation gained due to the hack will be difficult to restore and a lot of users are satisfied with the part that was paid.

It will be a good opportunity to see how bitcoin can change quickly and make gains.

There's no relation to the rise for being professional to their words and if they really want to repay then they will do it no matter what the figure it is since the people deserve to get what they owe from them.

But I think it's better to wait for the further developments since if there's nothing happened for this year for sure we cannot expect anything from them anymore.

It wont really matter on whats the price yet the refund coin was basing of on Bitcoin value and it wasnt on USD value. So it doesnt really have connection at all.
@Husires yes, reputation is ruined but as a business or company then its just ethical for them to pay up on what they owed into their users rather than skipping
and ran away into their obligations. They might not able to regain the trust that have lost or reputation but at least they do cleaned up the mess that was made.
Even they do close their doors then theres nothing that can really be blame to them.

I would profoundly disagree with everything you just said.

If Bitcoin rise, it will be same for them (if not easier) to fulfill refunds as they are generating Bitcoin every day. Price per BTC does not matter as they had time to buy when BTC was much lower.

They trying to be "professional" and fulfill what they said when they started reimbursing I do not even know what kind of question that is (italic).

Their reputation has been hurt, not reimbursing everyone for 100% would hurt it even more. I do not know what you mean by this (bolded), it might be the biggest non-sense I've read recently.

And I am not sure what do you even want to say with last sentence and how is that connected to Nicehash reimbursement program.

Just look at here: https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/nicehash-repayment-program-update

I got caught in the Nicehash hack and I don't believe that Nicehash team can pay up for the lost funds but they did, the only let down here is they failed to complete the whole payback but still good enough, we can't compare a mining pool with exchanges

Don't expect Nicehash to pay 100% of the reimbursement, they aren't that made of money, last time binance exchange was hacked CZ paid all the money back, that was possible because binance has the money, the exchange is one of the best and the biggest

Binance has the fund allocated for that main purpose which is so called "FUND IS SAFU(Secure Asset Fund for Users)" and it was stated on there terms so they are obligated to pay the loss funds when there security was breached. They are not paying it because the company gaining lots of profit and has the capacity cover it but rather it was in there T&C.

Due to the absence of legal legislation, there is no reason for Nicehash to return the money other than to gain the trust of the users, and therefore it is difficult to sue them or force them to pay the money that was lost due to security breach. As for the reason for the suspension of the repayment program, it is economic.

quote from this ----> https://www.nicehash.com/blog/post/nicehash-repayment-program-update

The old balance was repaid in Bitcoins (BTC) and not in the fiat value or any other cryptocurrency.

We have been repaying the old balance to our users through our fees and thus cutting our income. Our income and thus Repayment program assets are subject to taxation.

Security breach took place at the end of 2017 and is the lowest rate of USD VS BTC and they are committed to paying using BTC "the lowest possible amount" and they pay off their profits.
The report was published at the end of 2019, which saw a rise in the price of Bitcoin.
With all the economic problems the world faces due to the repercussions of the pandemic, paying users will not be a priority. Payment may take longer

Nicehash told us a security breach onDecember 6, 2017. They told us they will pay our money back but we have to wait and work with them. My ASIC devices have been mining all the time for nicehash. They paid some of my money back. But still waiting for the rest of my money. They dont pay nothing for months.
