On October 1960 Nigeria became an independent Nation gaining freedom from her Colonial master Britain Paving the way for native rule. And just like a child learning how to walk and stand Nigeria started learning how to govern it self.

NIGERIA has survived many challenge difficult times with the breakout of the Nigerian civil war which lasted almost three years there where fear about the survival of the nation but at the end the young Nation came out of the war victorious.

Taking a look at how far we have come as a nation I was having a sober reflection and deep thoughts about my country at 64 year, what are we  really celebrating as a nation with the state of our nation, question's has been asked by different person's in the nation what are we really celebrating at 64, to the ordinary man it's been 64 year's of darkness as the government has failed to provide 24 hours of power to the country, it has been 64 years of struggling with economic problem as our economy is in its worst state ever gaining independent as the price of goods and services in the market is out of Barn for the ordinary citizens.

In the area of security the country is also in the it's worst state as the ordinary citizens is not guaranteed security as the country is divided across religious and tribal lines, corruption is at its best as sometimes money can develop wings and fly away and other times money can be swallowed up by snake but to mention but a few.
I have come to the conclusion that Nigeria is not still an independent country as it's still under the colonial masters which are the local political elite a tiny few that has cornered the common wealth of the nation

The contry has still not gained independence there was only a change in power from the Britain's to our Nigerian politicians
These days I wonder if it would have even be better if nigeria was still being collonised by the Britain's
But as e dey be so the only thing we can do is to pray and hope for the best

E de funny say when independent day celebration don reach, when de try find out wetin we don achieve so far as a nation but e de always de deficult to fit point am out. Protest normally go boost our tomorrow and instead celebrating our 64th of Independence, we no get choice but to protect because nothing de tangeable when we fit take show for say na wetin we don achieve so far.

Person when don reach 64 years na small pikin? If after you don free from your master for a whole 60 years you can't boost of a tangeable thing that suggest that you've really gained independence, how that independent take make sense? Believe it or not, the 64th years of our existence as an independent state has had nothing reasonable to write because we've only retarded at almost everything we've ever done.

Where we wan even start from? We wan talk about health, security, provision of jobs, provision of social amenities, how well we make use of our resources or even our mode of governance, e get anything when don really improve despite the numbers of years?

The independence was all a lie. Maybe we did get independence from colonial masters but the truth is, citizens themselves aren't truly enjoying the independence. We don't even have freedom of speech anymore. In other countries, people can call out governments for bad governance or even attend a protest without direct consequences such as going to jail for protesting. Aa we celebrate in the coming days, the biggest question is what we're going to be celebrating? Even Law enforcement officers don't allow young people independence in the country.

Government will definitely celebrate but a vast majority of citizens won't  Embarrassed
