From my findings i can categorically say that i am not expecting the new national cryptocurrency to be successful in the cryptocurrency space.
The Nigerian government epitomizes everything that represents incompetence, and it makes no sense to ban cryptocurrency for no just reason only to turn around and say you want to launch your own cryptocurrency in a  few months when the existing ban hasn't been lifted.
I am not at all optimistic about it.

If you have been interested in nigerian crypto-currency, and news about it, then by now you must have known the central bank of Nigeria are planning a launch of their own digital currency,
The governor of central bank has announced the launch of the digital currency, before now, but as many things in nigeria it most likely slow and may not be.

Points I will take from the launch of this digital currency are
+ The unknown intention of the CBN: nigeria ban the crypto-currency to bank transaction not so long ago, so the news of them launching a digital asset is surprising, so there are doubts to what the digital asset is for.

+ Management and developers: nigeria are notorious to mis-manage or under develop project, to be honest nigeria is not ready or is the central bank ready to launch any digital asset.

+ Economy: nigeria economy is poor, and the central bank of Nigeria knows this, so except they have other intentions on the digital asset they are about to launch I think it would fail like the economy if same hands develops this digital asset.
