i am not sure if you are willing to offer a loan to me, but for me, i would expect a lower amount that is .01 btc.

for this loan, i am going to waive what you have paid in the transaction fee. lemme know the details.

edit: i am really curious of this, not intended to scam in any ways
edit 1: i am possibly subject to delay, if so, i will notify you in advance, extension fee will be offered.

Cheers! Experiment is a success 😀

We are successful in learning that TradeFortress has BTC0.02 with which he can afford to experiment, and Patatas can be trusted to return a BTC0.02 no-collateral loan.

I am not sure what his end goals are, if any. He might be trying to see if it is safe for him to trade here.

Repaying 0.02BTC is going to prove nothing other than the person taking the loan is trustworthy enough to repay a small loan.

It is perfectly safe to trade here if you use a reputable escrow service.

I don’t see anything positive for TradeFortress to gain from this other than him hoping that he gets a DT member borrower so he can get a positive trust towards trying to repair his unrepairable trust score.

This is all a pointless waste of time imo.
I think this response is pretty good evidence that you haven’t read the thread.

I’d expect this type of response from somebody who got into bed with TF.
Leave it out, QS.

I posted on page 1 of this thread. Maybe you didn’t read page 1?

Might be nice if you refund the bitcoin’s that are owed to the people you scammed before you start fucking about doing ridiculous experiments.

I’m sure they’e love to experiment by water boarding you until you give up the private keys to the thousands of bitcoin’s you stole.

I don't think this is about a "protected" person possibly scamming. I think it is more about what would happen if *anyone* scams TF.

It's an interesting experiment, but the value of it is eludes me.  TF won't lend to a member with red trust, so it's almost like he wants, or needs a member with a good or neutral trust score to scam him for the experiment to work.  And if or when that happens, what then?  Does he expect DT members to stand by and not tag the scammer?
I previously stated that it is my belief that part of the experiment was to see if someone with reputation to lose would scam him, so he doesn't necessarily need to get scammed.

I am not sure what his end goals are, if any. He might be trying to see if it is safe for him to trade here.

If (almost) anyone else were running this experiment I would happily take the "loan" to aide in your research with the caveat of neutral feedback or no feedback, but given your current standing (inb4 hypocrite) I feel like participating in this might assist you in scamming members in the future.

I don't think he would lend to you anyway, not with your current trust level.

No red trust for obvious reasons.

IMO, the purpose of this is to see if people are willing to scam a scammer and if anyone is willing to do anything about it (leave negative trust).

Isn't the answer to that question already obvious? "It depends".
If 3-People scam then they will all receive different reactions.

I'm itching to try this zero interest, no collateral loan good for 14 but I am still wondering whats the catch behind this. I don't think its for trust farming, the negative numbers below his avatar is too high. Do you need a signed message to go with the request for loan to make sure if its the rightful owner of the account?
I think anyone who thinks that someone is trustworthy simply because they have given a bunch of no collateral loans is going to eventually part with their money one way or another.

TF has gained a reputation of being a long con scammer as multiple of his ventures were initially successful but eventually got “hacked” resulting in customer losses. Anyone doing basic research on his history should know this. He has consistently denied stealing customer money, but I have serious doubts about the truth of this; even if he was truthful about not stealing customer money, he is still responsible for the losses.

IMO, the purpose of this is to see if people are willing to scam a scammer and if anyone is willing to do anything about it (leave negative trust).

This is what I do. I drink and I know things.
As mentioned, I simply don't have the bitcoins to make further reimbursements, but 0.02 BTC is another story. I am simply curious to see if I lend someone 0.02 BTC, will they pay it back?

So you really believe that someone, as you mention in your Op, will risk his account for 0.02BTC? Roll Eyes
The test is if someone will be willing to scam a scammer and if anyone is willing to do anything about it.

I am not sure if anyone would scam TF, but I strongly suspect that most of the most active “scam busters” will do nothing if TF doesn’t get repaid.

This "test" (like other tests) have two serious factors. The one is the reputation/trust that someone will risk for this amount, which is very, very, very low.
So even if you are mostly right about the second factor, which is who will tag a defaulter for the same (proven) reason, is not so strong and "safe" to make an old account holder to take this loan.

There will be always a chance/risk to get tagged, especially now that the trust system have this structure. It would be a pity for an "elder" one to take this risk, for that amount.
I suspect the two would go hand and hand.

A borrower might wait until TF complains about him being late, see how much pressure he receives from those on DT to repay the loan, if he receives no pressure, he wont repay, if he does receive pressure, he repays the loan.

The "time" doesn't wait, 14 days is 14 days... Besides will can all watch this thread and leave our feedback accordingly, after the deadline. Cool
Unless a group of people are looking for a reason to leave negative trust, the majority of people are going to be forgiving for a late loan payment.

Even so, there will be always 1 chance to have a neg from someone who will not remove it, even if you repay late.
Plus there is a difference between a "late" loan and a "default" loan. Most of the defaulted though will never been repaid and the account is "dead".
If you mean that a default loan can be a late one under the pressure of a negative feedback, i agree. But that's one of the points of being tagged, right?

This "test" (like other tests) have two serious factors. The one is the reputation/trust that someone will risk for this amount, which is very, very, very low.
So even if you are mostly right about the second factor, which is who will tag a defaulter for the same (proven) reason, is not so strong and "safe" to make an old account holder to take this loan.

There will be always a chance/risk to get tagged, especially now that the trust system have this structure. It would be a pity for an "elder" one to take this risk, for that amount.

killyou72 is probably a good person to test the bolded part:

The test is if someone will be willing to scam a scammer and if anyone is willing to do anything about it.

I am not sure if he would intentionally scam TF, but he does have a history of screwing around a lot.

Roll Eyes

Might be nice if you refund the bitcoin’s that are owed to the people you scammed before you start fucking about doing ridiculous experiments.

I’m sure they’e love to experiment by water boarding you until you give up the private keys to the thousands of bitcoin’s you stole.

Reimbursements happened > https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/coinlendersinputsio-depositors-reimbursement-available-please-read-4589356

Hey everyone,

I’m a little bit sad (okay, seriously sad) to announce that the reimbursement program is closing early.

I am happy that I was able to reimburse more than a hundred users, including 11 out of 12 of reachable users with the biggest balances.

Unfortunately, I do not have any more cryptocurrencies or assets that I can reimburse CL / Inputs users with. For context, the top 9 reimbursed individually have received more bitcoins from me, than anything I have to my own name today.

As far as I know, this might be the only instance in bitcoin where a significant amount of lost funds has been reimbursed, even 5 years down the track.

So the reimbursement program is now closed. I’m sorry to the ones that missed out, unfortunately there’s nothing I can do.

Best of luck with your crypto adventures,
TF

I am going to speculate that your "experiment" has some kind of nefarious purpose.

I haven't yet figured out the specific angle, but I will look at any fulfilled loan with a suspicious eye.

DMs have been disabled. I am busy.
I'm offering a 0.02 BTC loan, with no collateral requirements, to any Legendary bitcointalk member.

The duration is 14 days and the interest is a fixed 5% (return 0.021 BTC).

Please reply to this thread if you're interested.

It's worth mentioning that if you're willing to give out loans to the negative tagged legendary members. If yes, there is a high chance they will default since they have nothing to lose but a worthless account.

Also, I suggest checking if the account belongs to the rightful owner. Watching this thread.

Let's see if OP sticks to his word when the tagged members start showing up.
