cgminer would not work

(Not to say it cant be done but it is not happening on my end)

Ended up trying a lot different miners and drivers and found a version of bfgminer (3.2.1) works great!
Got 7 erupters going Now
Cheesy waiting my 30gh/s erupter-box, and trying to scrounge up the the money for two more.

What Do any of you think about the Blade erupters 10gh/s how hard are they to set up?

what is the best gh/s to $$ you guys have come across?

You need to install the drivers for the USB miners, then you can use cgminer with it.

I suggest trying bitminer guiminer,or cgminer if all of these don't recognize the device then re-installing the suggested drivers might be the best option or running it on another computer to confirm if you are doing something wrong or if there is an issue in your computer.

Try BitMinter, I had a hell of a time getting my ASIC erupter to work, tried GUIMiner, BFGMiner and CGMiner with no luck.. Perhaps I wasn't configuring correctly, I then went to BitMinter, and it is all working fine, though my machine loses the devices from time to time.. (Anyone have that issue also??) But on the whole, works well.

Did start off trying to use my CPU to mine, but none of the miners would connect to their server for some reason, gave up on that as I later discovered the hash rate was pants...

Hope you sort it soon!

I'm supposing you tried making a bat file to start the mining program.

If you did, can you post your bat file?

If you didn't, you have to make one.

no driver disk.

I have tried bfgminer, cgminer, easyminer, your probably right on the settings, If your familiar with a specific one I would be glad to try it and work with you to get it going, I have 10 more miners on the way! This one is early and using it to figure this all out (failing at the moment). I dont have much btc but would be happy to send some to who ever helps me get this up and running!

thanks for the fast advice in advance!!!

Was there a drivers disk included with the usb miner?

There usually isn't for the small USB ASIC miners.

All the necessary drivers can be downloaded online.

Which mining program are you trying to mine on?

You might not have put the settings correctly.
