There certainly is, which is why I'm personally kind of baffled by the amount of bearish sentiment that there is within the market. There has been numerous improvements in a lot of blockchains with developments such as LN, and ETH 2.0 that apparently will bring scalability. Yet people seem not to be focused on these fundamental developments.
There should only be a matter of time before markets pick up these signals, though.
This is why short term movements doesn't necessarily reflect what the long term potential of something is, to put it simply.

Indeed, many banks and many establishments have adapted the use of cryptocurrency. Some even created their own and become useful in the market. Market competition will be dull of course if there are few players in the board. Though there are issues and the reputation of altcoins was stained, the expansion and development of crypto industry will continue to flourish in the next years.

we have seen altcoin during 2018 decline, and most of them lost money because of investments in new altcoin projects, altcoin has no positive impact on the current market rise and it is worth noting that altcoin will never be able to rival bitcoin.
How can you say that? Just because bitcoin started it all, doesn't mean no altcoin can surpass it in the future. You never know what will happened 5 to 10 years from now. Yes altcoins have same concept with most pioneered projects and the system now is different but still dont give any bold statement yet.

Blockchain and crypto currencies are here to stay, there will be always enough space for improvements. But the fact that less than 30 percent of all coins have a working product, makes me be very pessimistic about the markets future.
For now, yes. There's a lot of bad projects that surround the market. But anyhow, blockchain technology will be adopted and be available in any venue of business. There are many people who are interested to participate but still waiting for more updates and offers from the market. The future ahead of us is still fine. It needs to get more involvement and you'll see the outcome after.

That's true, you are right there have been many good improvements so far. Many platforms are coming up to adopt blockchain into their services of which one is Samsung and with this lead, can set other platforms into motion. Furthermore, irrespective of the fact that bitcoin is dominating this either space it still needs other Innovative altcoins such as ETH in order to create a crypto space that will accommodate all and sundry.

Yes, Yes. I totally agree with that. Many people just like to look at where it is today and forget that it has been a long journey thus far. We cannot but admit to the fact that there has been a whole lot of improvements. We see mass adoption of the systems, and we think it is just by coincidence? The recent developments are into the wide adoption into Africa and cryptocurrency products that caters for those in the region. The long awaited institutional investment has started, though it looks to start with price dump but can provide a long term benefit for the overall space. We have fewer cryptocurrency maximalist in the news because of the bad influence of large number of them in the ICO season, SEC is after a lot of them.

I agree with you to an extent because there are things which I don't agree with too. First, there have been major Improvements in the crypto space so far, ranging from different platforms adopting crypto to different technology giants adopting blockchain so as to be in line with what the future holds. However, you made mention of Bitcoin contender, I do not think that will be possible because many have tried and failed. Till date, Bitcoin remains the complete decentralized blockchain and have proved its worth over time thus the reason Institutional investors are going for it on daily basis; but same can't be said about altcoins. I don't think people are getting interested in to the new altcoins altcoins created by the developers that is the reason why people are moving to Bitcoin for the dominance of Bitcoin is at 70 percentage now. I guess we need altcoins as well but not new cryptocurrencies every day which nullify the need of cryptocurrencies in the form of payment system.
Depending on what new Altcoin they are developing. If supported or developed by parties who have high credibility, it will be easily accepted and successful as a newcomer. Altcoins have not shown anything during 2018 and 2019. They are dying off, because BTC leaves absolutely no space for them to grow. Once BTC dominance would fall, altcoins will raise from ashes, but we need to be patient.

As mentioned, between last of 2017 and early of 2018 this world has shown the best performance, but on another hand, this year the crypto world has lost very profit, l know it is a chain reaction and everything can not be good every time. BTC is king of the crypto world, it is decentralized monetary. Maybe, BTC doesn't need altcoins, but altcoins need BTC. Price of altcoins will up if BTC would go up. We can not deny these facts.
The disaster spreads all over the economic system and there is only limited things left to do, unfortunately. The problems will not disappear in one night, we need a better solutions and the before stated causes only weakens the advantages of crypto ecosystem.

It is not just about the number of altcoins that keep increasing, but it is more of the quality of the projects that are being launched. We do not have quality projects, there is no way they can compete with the king of all coins, which is presently bitcoin. So, for there to be a difference, then something unique must be launched, which will be able to challenge the positions of the topmost coins.

What kind of coin that would be for the contender of bitcoin? I really don't see that we are already coming up to that point, we are not close to that moment. Bitcoin has stood on its own before even without altcoins. I can't imagine that bitcoin will never survive even without altcoins but what it would be if bitcoin isn't there, will the altcoins market will survive? probably some good alts will but most will be dead.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with your points here. Bitcoin can grow without altcoin, although there could be some correlation but I don't think that altcoin can influence Bitcoin more than Bitcoin influence them. Crypto trading is still based on Bitcoin price that's why we see everyone one of them being paired to Bitcoin. I don't see altcoins growing quickly, they are still way below their ATH and even if they grow very fast as your perception, there are still hundred of coins dying and being de listed by top exchanges. To be able to see the altcoin market being alive again, Bitcoin should take off first and maybe some of the top altcoin could follow as well and perhaps it could trickle down the line. IMHO.

You are right mate and it is very much true. Crypto is getting more better with each day it's just that scammers and fraudulent individuals are the one dragging this space back. If only developers can stick to their goals and objectives thus developing what they intially set out to create we would go far. Nevertheless, with blockchain gaining limelight with each passing day, mass adoption will surly come one day.

Improvements in blockchain architectures, more applications of crypto and blockchain in diverse sectors, growth in overall crypto market capitalization showing that more and more people are interested in crypto. Despite all these, BTC price didn't soar high enough to kickstart the bullrun we are hoping. The trauma it put to the people who have seen the price crumbles to the ground in less than a year the price dive to -80% almost impossible to rebuild the reputable of the altcoins that died in the process. No one in the right mind will stick to crypto all the way once they know the history of what just happen last year.

Altcoins can have their own applications, but in any case bitcoin is the most trusted cryptocurrency. Despite of this, the need for altcoins and also their benefits to the market cannot be ignored.
With introducing many new altcoins and many efforts that made to solve some problems, we entered a new era. However most of the altcoins have been really useless, many of the developers should be appreciated because their attempt to make cryptocurrencies more improved.
There have been many scam projects. But now we see it's not easy to scam people, as scam projects are not able to raise even a cents. Now only useful tokens and coins can grow.
My only concern about new altcoins is lack of decentralization due to governments forces.
With introducing many new altcoins and many efforts that made to solve some problems, we entered a new era. However most of the altcoins have been really useless, many of the developers should be appreciated because their attempt to make cryptocurrencies more improved.

I also believed that there have been improvement in cryptocurrency. The prices might be down at the moment but more people are getting to know about it through the social media. Many projects run bounties on social media, this has really helped to push crypto forward. I'm sure we are going to have a real bull very soon.

We have some really good coins doing a great job with devs, community and for the whole enviroment in general

What we could conclude is the last bull run an unnatural pump. The current rise in price is a natural one. There are many companies that are integrating crypto to real world businesses. Bitwala has now bank deposits and withdrawal with bitcoin supported in German banks. Microsoft taking payments in Bitcoin and altcoins.
