As D&T pointed out, this is not new. In addition, they openly regard Bitcoin with contempt. They've also defrauded Tradehill out of at least 50k USD.
Fuck Dwolla.

Um that part you bolded isn't new.  It has been that way for almost six months now.  I guess some people never read their TOS.

they just shoved the new terms if my face when i logged, forgive me if i didn't know the old terms

The only thing that appears to be new was the Guest Checkout section:

"without prior written consent"

The big boys can still play (Mt.Gox, etc), but yeah, no more direct user-to-user trades via Dwolla.  Unless you don't tell them what it is for...

Would give them an easy excuse to freeze and hold your funds.

I had a nightmare with some other money exchange service before (can't remember which) and they froze my account and I had to jump through hoops providing all this personal information and high-res color scans of my driver's license.

If they still allow transfer to/from Mt. Gox that'd be smart.  Bitcoin transactions are probably the main thing that even got them started to begin with.

Popup "The Dwolla Terms of Service have been updated."

USER CONDUCT
You understand and agree that you will not engage in the following activities:
Act as a marketplace and/or exchange for virtual currency products without prior written consent;

 Use the Dwolla System in association with or for payment of illegal goods or service, including, but not limited to, illegal substances, illegal online gambling/ wagering, pyramid schemes, or any type of money laundering;

You understand and agree:

● You will provide information requested to determine your identity, including but not limited to the following: a valid U.S. address, phone number, Financial Institution account information, photo identification, and/or tax identification or social security number.

Getting ridiculous...Dwolla is turning just into another online bank, I'm sure with the new things they want to implement they may need to charge higher fees or something in the future, or to comply with any new government regulations or lawsuits or things they weren't complying to before
