Power came back about a day later and internet ~3 days later.
I was tethered to my home network for those few days. AT&T didn't like me very much.

Today is one hot day... Detroit Area is lacking power I believe... I remember a few years back we had a few day power outage around this time of year

lmfao!!!!ahhhh it must have been the 42C / 107F (with humidex) weather (outside, before adding another deathwall of heat from mining rigs) that got to my brain to confuse lack of power with lack of internet.
Let's just say, even with my central air on full blast, I'm still glad the rigs are out the door, and in someone else's capable hands... I'm going to be a puddle by the end of my shift tonight!

You should tether your smartphone to your network so you can use your mobile data for the mining! You will use such a small amount of data for the amount of hashing you will do.
When I posted I was at work. Home is out... I do have my smartphone to keep me connected!
I don't believe he's trolling, he could be using a smartphone, hotspot, ect.
I wonder if the OP is in Virginia? Power outages have been reported in the area which knocked out Amazon EC2 services to NetFlix and a few popular sites.
