Well, one thing that will be clear now ..is this. The Satoshi wannebe will not be able to pay the $100 million dollars that the court ordered him to pay. This is something that the real Satoshi would laugh at with the 1 000 000+ bitcoins he supposedly owns.... so come on Mr Craig Wright, show us the money! (Jerry Maguire voice)  Grin Grin Grin

he doesnt need to show the money.
he just has to write a letter to the court using the W&K letterhead, saying "money received, no contest, no dispute"
thats it

The Australian tax office won't let go they'll be after him. You're familiar with the back story you've posted things people didn't know. Craig's bankrupt he's used sham companies he's avoided paying tax he's fooled investors so any person reading his story knows he isn't Satoshi but he's got backers. They won't stop they've got bigger plans. His entourage's getting bigger.

So legally the company says it's received $100M and it's enough? I'm going to look up the names linked with Craig's because of sinister intentions I'm not aware of. It's clear he isn't Satoshi. If he's going to keep claiming it he shouldn't have any friends to count on but he's keeping himself in public view. Why's he doing it?

you can check out his ponzi plans since day one.
2003 he resigned from a company and signed a no-contact/non compete exit agreement, where he was not allowed to contact his ex employers clients to steal business.. within months he broke that.
they sued him. he lost, but went on a 10 year appeals(delay tactic) process, leading up to him being virtually declared bankrupt due to legal costs in 2013.
in 2013 he started a company (hotwire) and scammed australian tax office out of millions of $aus.
saying he was doing R&D in bitcoin mining.
(no hint of him yet pretending to be the inventor. just a new miner, learning the ropes in 2013)
he used tax rebate money that to pay off his legal costs of the 2003-13 cases and fines and compensation and other debts(first ponzi (rob tax to pay exemployer))

the australian tax office audited him in 2013-4 and realised he didnt have the supposed "super computers" to mine bitcoin and so started a process on him to get back what he owes.
hotwire closed down declaring bankruptsy, while australian tax office still chased him for compensation.

he then started the W&K to try to show notorised proof of collateral(public keys). this delayed the tax office just long enough for him to then up and leave australia to start his next scam in the uk(claiming he was bitcoins inventor). that didnt work with the australian tax office either

so then doxxed himself at his old address and then started telling media he was bitcoins inventor hoping publicity of media could be his proof to delay the australian tax office further.

he then found other investors to buy into him by faking he had 1mill coins collateral(the W&K tulip saga v2). some were fooled. some jumped in deep and he set up more sham companies.

each layer of new investor trying to pay off the previous investor. each time promising more and more.

these days he is saying even if he cant move the coins (by blaming core devs for not making a trojan to move the coins for him) he still promises these investors if he wins court cases, and makes enough patents and wins public opinion he can make billions on the media/movie market selling his story and doing book tours and convention/conference appearances and they can all make money being his entourage

thats the basic back story

so now the ones that are deep in debt due to craig and highly invested, are stuck. its either walk away with nothing, or hold on and hope for something.. most are holding on, just for a chance to make something.

this is why they hype him up so much. not because they believe him. but if they can coax public opinion to think he is still significant, or coax new investors to buy in so they can sell out. the more they can make

If money people are supporting him they'll escape one day. If Craig Wright's not signing any of Satoshi's wallets it doesn't make sense for money people to back him or BSV.

What's the point of the judge saying he'll have to pay $100M? Is it only a political stunt or there's more to what's going on? I haven't any clues who's paying his legal fees and court costs can you name his friends? Who'd want to associate their name with Craig's?

1. if you imagine the court case is just a mediation of 2 parties, arguing about whatever they want. where the judge decides the debate winner. it then becomes clear that it doesnt matter if the debate is meaningless, it doesnt matter that the 2 parties are actually friends or on the same side outside the mediation room. all the judges job is, is to decide who wins a debate the two parties are having.

once you understand it in that format. you realise the game being played in public.

its a mediation of business contracts/paperwork. nothing to do with nation laws or criminality
there are literally millions of court cases over many decades that are just contract mediation.
its called civil court, not criminal court

2. who? well calvin ayres for one. and his partners and all the ceo's associated with all the businesses that are part of the shammy scammy group associated with craig.
a couple of years ago i remember a few names. but craigs case bored me soo much i let that information leave my brain and be lost to the vapour of nothingness. its noted somewhere in the court documents a few of those names. edit: i dug deep into old greymatter. jimmy nguyen,  Lorien Gamaroff  are other names.

but basically if you google any big names with businesses associated with the BSV crapcoin. they are only highly promoting it because they are highly invested in craig and hoping to someday get returns

He's getting humiliated because he won't be able to pay the $100M in cash or bitcoin. Why's he put himself in public shame? He didn't profit in anything by getting to court against Kleiman's estate.

he doesnt need to pay the $100m in the physical world. its just a paper-shuffle
(just needs a W&K letterhead saying 'we been paid)

craig didnt even pay any court costs. he had butt-kissing 'investor' friends front him by paying the court costs under a promise that if he wins he can then do book deals and movie rights deals for documentaries about his life/story and stuff and they will get paid back their "investment" via those profits.

its also about him valuing his patents at upto trillions of dollars in value pretending his patents are ownership of bitcoin which his "investors" will get a cut of.

heck. to true craig style. i can even see him using this court order along with the W&K letter head suggesting payment received undisputed. as future "proof" of W&K holdings of $100m in fiat(on paper). without revealing any bank account balance sheet as real proof, to the try to scam some investor into buying W&K under his usual false pretenses.

little do they realise he has no real value/collateral to make good on his promises..
and thats what the community is laughing at. valueless scammy craig being unable to make good on promises and lying so much that sooner or later, his scammery will come to a short sharp end.

I wonder why the media can make news headlines that are clearly hoaxes. What journalists care about are ratings and money.

even the mainstream media such as BBC in recent decades transitioned from investigative journalism to just plain reporting. they just report what was reported to them, no scrutinisation. no real staking their reputation. and more so 'tell us a story and if it seems to be worthy of public interest we will report on it"

take the 2016 article where craid done the [using a publicly available 7yo signature] 'heres todays proof i am..'
the BBC didnt send the data off to a cryptographer for verification. didnt take any documents with them to later release with the article for people to scrutinise. but instead just say they were party to a 'signing event' and that they read other people on other forums where some people were not sure if the proof was proof, essentially.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-36168863

when the article first published there was instant backlash and all BBC done was change the title from:
"Bitcoin creator reveals his identity"  to "Australian Craig Wright claims to be Bitcoin creator".

the article was also changed to recognise there was still doubt about Craig Wright's claim. but no sign of the BBC themselves doing any professional investigation or double checking with any cryptographer independently

This misinformation will always continue to spread, the reason is clear, simply because exciting news gets more people's attention and that's exactly what the press wants, they want to attract more readers to their newspapers and news and make a lot of noise, so they choose exciting misleading headlines with care, The American newspapers  is particularly good at this.
In fact, they don't care if the CW is lying or true, they just want the news to spread among the largest number of people to get fame and more advertising revenue.

Their title is misleading and it's like a clickbait title on youtube where the reality it's nothing that you've expected. they've been doing this for a long time don't really care if they mislead the people or not. in fact, this is their job they've even gotten so many lines on some songs where they were pinpointed as giving wrong information. right now, they put Craig Wright on the headline because of his claim as the founder of Bitcoin without any solid proof they just don't care at all.

Satoshi made a master piece by creating Bitcoin and leave his identity anonymous for a long time. Why the hell he will appear again out of no where just to introduce himself and create a mess on his life. He can simply mix the Bitcoin he is holding and cashout hassle free.

though [real satoshi] made bitcoin and envisioned its future. i beleive in some of the early updates he didnt really care much for backing up private keys and could have lost them in some bug or forgetful incident. so dont expect to see any movements of them. back then bitcoin had no $ value so saving them was not that important. especially in a deflationary system where having less coins in circulation helps the value of the other coins that do circulate. so keeping them had no advantage if you never intend to spend them.

as for craig(faker). all he has ever had was a lying mindset and a publicly available list of public addresses which anyone can have(meaningless. no value ever) in 2011-2013 when craig first came across bitcoin. and alot of butt-kissing investors handing him money hoping to get rich off him.

But will these news matter when the people themselves are all aware how Craig Wright is nothing but a delusional clown? I don't think a lot of people will be convinced that Craig Wright is the real Satoshi, not when he cannot even prove the ownership of the addresses he claimed he owns. Have we forgotten that even those addresses he claimed he owns have even called him a fraud by way of a signed message?

And how about his BSV? It's already going down the drain. That's the real Bitcoin as he claims. The fate of BSV reflects the level of trust people and institutions have in CSW.

Yeah. This clowns are arguing about the Bitcoin mined by Satoshi while Craig Wright can't even prove that he is really holding the private key to the Bitcoin wallet of Satoshi. They are fighting over an imaginary money just to make some noise again in crypto. A typical move from Bitcoin SV founder claiming its the real Bitcoin.

craig the human has to pay$100m into a company W&K owned by... craig.
so its just a paper statement saying he paid himself. essentially just a W&K letter head saying to the judge that W&K accepted payment of $100m and is final and settled and wont be disputed (letter wrote by craig)

what i can see actually happening is..
craig the human.. will play that he as a human is now bankrupt. and so file bankruptcy to dissolve all his debts he has personally accumulated and make his creditors at a loss. and then pretend (on paper) that W&K is now valued at +$100m to pretend W&K has collateral

Nah, he will just create another scamcoin to sell to his followers and it will all be good or have someone rewrite parts of the BSV code to give him 2 million coins, sell them on the market for $100 each and poof he has the money.

And since he could "move" those coins that means he must be the creator.

Why's he desperate to prove himself as Satoshi? Craig Wright hasn't signed any wallets used by Satoshi so there isn't any proof. There's a list of wallets Craig Wright claimed are owned by him and they're being claimed by Dave Kleiman's estate but some are signed with messages saying Craig Wright is a fraud.

How's he still spreading lies about him being Satoshi? Who'd believe his claims when he's not signed any wallets Satoshi used?

People still read this news articles?
It's interesting to see how much desperate CW is to prove himself as satoshi. I read those article to get informed what he is doing exactly. Well, whatever they do, whatever they have, they can't prove CW as satoshi unless CW can sign a message from one of known address of satoshi.

This man never stops and it's not the first time for this big lier, he is trying so hard to claim he is the satoshi and creator on the bitcoin project while he got nothing and no shreds of evidence, I saw many news about him and many articles where they wrote Craig won and he could prove that he is the real satoshi, while all these are pointing the wrong direction and we saw the market didn't really show any reaction to this news and this shows people already know him and know he is lying like before and that's nothing new about this crazy lier who suffers from some mental illness.

Craig Steven Wright comes across as grumpy and whiny and a liar, and Satoshi comes across as a technologist who communicates as expected and is concise and balanced.
Basically, Craig should focus more on how Satoshi communicates and try to imitate him, because the more Craig talks and acts, the more people will judge him as unlike Satoshi and will ignore him.
and regarding this news, everyone who has been in the industry for a long time will never believe Craig, and those who are new and most likely will believe it before doing any actual investigation. and he will continue to poison every new bitcoin user into believing that Satoshi Nakamoto is him.

He just grab the opportunity to tell that because he knows Satoshi so that he will get instant fame for the coin he didn't created he has a hard face telling that he is the real one while he didn't have any proof about that claims. Maybe they can fool new people especially those who didn't get informed about the certain drama happening here. That's why its good to have these kind of discussion since this could influence newbie to not believe on what those clown says or claims.

Please please please read the entire article before making assumptions. We already have people in the IRC and Reddit already spreading FUD regarding these headlines.

As far as I know, there have been spammers on forums, social media and chatrooms for many many years. They usually promote ethereum and ripple. Their promotion and spam may coincide with the pump side, of pump and dump cycles for alts. In past years, they enjoyed some success. Many fell for the false hype and contrived marketing campaigns. In recent years, their effectiveness appears to be on a decline. Fewer are buying things like bitcoin cash. If nothing else, it appears to be giving people a life experience which will give them greater odds of success, than in previous years.

The boy who cried wolf only had to be wrong twice to lose his credibility. Saruman the White strained his vocal power of persuasion until it was broken and destroyed. It appears something similar is happening with the people of the world, who no longer blindly believe everything that they read or see on TV.

Here we go again with these news outlets. As many of you have maybe read, Craig Wright won the lawsuit in Miami over a dispute over $50,000,000,000 in bitcoin. This issue is the media is writing misleading headlines suggesting Craig Wright won a lawsuit over whether he was bitcoin's creator or not. They continue to lace their articles with misleading notions suggesting the lawsuit was over whether CW is Satoshi or not.

I read it here different threads about him and it's claiming that he is the real Satoshi which in fact, he doesn't have any evidence to prove his claim.
Sometimes I'm thinking that he has a mental illness and I wonder he isn't in jail after all.  Probably because claiming to be a Satoshi isn't a fraud either he is Wright or Wrong about his claim which is technically don't have any single proof of legitimacy.

People should aware of this misleading information.

I really wonder why anyone gives this man any attention at all. It should be known that he is definitely not Satoshi.
The proof would be easy to make, but he can't. So he isn't. This smear theater he's putting on doesn't do justice to the real Satoshi.
He isn't really satoshi and we all knew it.

It's that these media men are giving attention to him. Maybe even if they don't want to give attention to him, there's this paid coverage for them to cover the news.

As if to be "big" on the eyes of the world since they're reporting it.

However, Wright was ordered to pay $100 million in compensatory damages over a breach in intellectual property rights related to W&K Info Defense Research LLC, a joint venture between the two men. That money will go to W&K directly, rather than to the Kleiman estate.

The guy did not win the title of Satoshi ofcourse but he did win the whole case, but I won't say whole but partial perse since he still has to pay money.

Journalists have no idea about the whole bitcoin community perse and at the same time sometimes people might pay them to make such statements.

We all know that the man is not Satoshi ofcourse but at the same time I have also seen these FUD's stirring around and the articles calling him Satoshi as well.

-Not his keys!! Not his Coins!!

Talking about journalists, they dont have a clue about Bitcoin.full stop

They dont care about the truth or facts in this case, its lazy journalism,
grab some crap from the internet and run with it.

Apologies in advance for this but here is an example of some absolute embarrasing
thrash from 2016 which showed up in my news feed today, somebody/something
assumed this was relevant to the recent courtcase and that I needed to read,
this is nonsense upon nonsence which people are being fed>

https://m.independent.ie/business/technology/news/identity-of-inventor-of-bitcoin-creator-finally-revealed-as-craig-wright-34676862.html

Quote
The creator was previously known under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto to protect his identity, but he has now been named as Australian Dr Craig Wright.

The computer scientist, inventor and academic launched the protocol in 2009 and his identity was shrouded in mystery.

Dr Wright said he decided to reveal himself as the Bitcoin creator to stop the spread of "misinformation" about the cryptocurrency and its digital infrastructure Blockchain.

Quote
The scientist has digitally signed messages to prove his identity, and Jon Matonis, one of the founding directors of the Bitcoin Foundation said he is convinced Dr Wright is who he claims to be.

Funnily enough there is no author assigned to that article.

Where are the consequences for these journalists who continue to write
incorrect misleading information? there doesnt seem to be any.

I really wonder why anyone gives this man any attention at all. It should be known that he is definitely not Satoshi.
The proof would be easy to make, but he can't. So he isn't. This smear theater he's putting on doesn't do justice to the real Satoshi.
To be honest, that guy shouldn't  even be mentioned on this forum as what he wants and enjoy in is attention. And if we can tell anyiting about Satoshi and the way he tied to keep his privacy, he obviously wanted as little attention as possible. Therefore, conclusion about CSW is obvious.

Well, I've read the article you verified. But the content you already know in the media from CNBC is just distorting the facts. Because they are government media that claim to be independent, is that true?

Craig Wright always stands out like he is......... ah I don't want to say that because I don't recognize him as anyone. Then the media so often treat this to divert the real issue.

Remember one thing we need to instill in future generations, That Satoshi is not he, he and she..... Not anyone who claims to be Satoshi. It does not exist and will never be recognized. Why ? because the hero will not reveal his true identity (Unless you are watching the Marvel Series). Even though we don't know who he is, the most important thing is that Bitcoin is still Bitcoin even though it is in a block of opposite Blockchain.

No one believed this old man, but he felt certain that he was the inventor.
Well, all crypto enthusiasts must know who Craig Wright is. He is an annoying man, a fake Satoshi who tried to attract people's attention to his business. We already ignore whatever he did. But seeing media endorses Craig Wright as a real Satoshi is very funny, who they are?  And how can they decide who Satoshi is? This is totally wrong and execrable, even all discussions in this forum cannot find out any signs of the real Satoshi is. I mean the media has no capacity to write on who Satoshi is, they have no strong reasons.

People still read this news articles? In this day and age, we don't see any journalists that delivers the truth if it doesn't further their own agenda so I don't know why people still read this articles, this is a bait title so you can be intrigued and click their article and read it, it is intended to be misleading.
Well, news outlets are all about headlines.  It is their bread and butter!!! It is all about grabbing attention, getting people to read these ridiculous articles even if they're often biased, misleading and not representative.

Seems to me that if you've been around long enough you understand that what media says is not exactly true, and this is no different (though, I wish more people were using their heads and not believe everything they read)...

In this case, of course Craig hasn't proved a thing and never will. We all know just how simple proving ownership of Bitcoin is and yet this had never been done.

Craig Wright is just a bullshit man who claims to be the inventor of bitcoin. No one believed this old man, but he felt certain that he was the inventor. he couldn't prove anything about the invention of bitcoin to date.
Craig Wright never had the access key to the satoshi wallet.

People are giving attention to him especially those newcomers because they are reading misleading information. They thought that Craig Wright won and that he's the bitcoin creator. But the good thing about winning on his case, he said, if he will win on this trial, he will prove his bitcoin ownership. So this is very interesting if he can indeed prove about those btc holdings. If he can't, then, this is just another shameful act from him. Because I have the feeling that he can't prove his ownership to satoshi's bitcoins because he is not Satoshi.

As if we didn't think that typical "journalists" stoop down low enough with these misleading or outright false article titles. Unfortunately this would cause a lot of people(the normies) on social media to think that Faketoshi is going to dump the coins or something.

Also, they could literally call Faketoshi anything; but the fact is, he doesn't have access to Satoshi's keys so it wouldn't really change anything.

It's really sad how readily "journalists" repeat whatever disinformation is shoveled at them.

An accurate headline would be "Faux Bitcoin-creator found liable for $100m in damages due to stealing from dead friend's company."

Unfortunately there is a massive disinformation campaign on all fronts on this... and as a result even earnest Bitcoiners are getting confused and repeating some falsehoods.

No. No one was found to be Satoshi. The court wasn't even looking at that.  No, wright did not "win"-- he has been ordered to pay $100 million dollars which will bankrupt him many times over (unless he's able to get a bailout from a sucker who he can promise future 'satoshi bitcoin' to...).

Wright's damages are because he raided the assets of his friends company by filing a lawsuit against it in AU and then showing up as the defendant himself to concede the lawsuit.  The argument that wright won is because the estate also demanded half of Wright's obviously fictional Bitcoin and it appears the jury didn't buy the existence of that Bitcoin and so they didn't award anything thing.

Rather than supporting Wright's claims, the case brutally refuted them.  Including proving mountains of Wright produced documents to be forgeries.  The argument made by Wright's attorney in closing was essentially a chewbacca defense: They argued that wright is a fantasist and that it didn't make sense for the plaintiff to rely on Wright's forgeries as proof, and kept chanting "if it doesn't make sense you go with the defense".

Probably the highlight of the case was when Wright was ordered by the court under threat of being held in contempt to identify and swear to which specific bitcoin he owned in 2013 and he provided a list just before the deadline-- only to have the real owners of thousands of bitcoins on it immediately show up with digital signatures calling Wright a liar and a fraud.  But it's hard to pick one.  Wright made a total clown of himself so many times over that it's hard to choose.

It's interesting to see how much desperate CW is to prove himself as satoshi. I read those article to get informed what he is doing exactly. Well, whatever they do, whatever they have, they can't prove CW as satoshi unless CW can sign a message from one of known address of satoshi.

"Stop using proprietary software."
They continue to lace their articles with misleading notions suggesting the lawsuit was over whether CW is Satoshi or not.

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/12/06/miami-jury-rules-in-favor-of-craig-wright-bitcoin-claimed-inventor.html

https://www.benzinga.com/markets/cryptocurrency/21/12/24467590/bitcoin-creator-satoshi-nakamoto-is-craig-wright-alone-according-to-kleiman-v-wright-jury

Please please please read the entire article before making assumptions. We already have people in the IRC and Reddit spreading FUD regarding these headlines.

We all know what he has to do to prove he is who he says he is.
