It is showing 2 weeks and it has taken a whole week to get where it is.
...
Can you take a screenshot of the sync screen. I would like to check exactly where this "2 weeks" is quoted... that is to say, is it "2 weeks behind" or is the ETA showing 2 weeks?

Generally speaking tho, as others have mentioned... actual internet download speed is not usually the main determinant of sync speed. It is generally hardware related (disk speed, amount of RAM, Processing power etc)

Based from your other thread, it seems like your node is already synced, right?
Then the "2 weeks" that you've seen was most likely 2-weeks-worth of blocks and not the estimated time.

But it is stored on an external hard drive.

Has it always been there or have you moved it recently? That might've been the thing that slowed your syncing down as external hard drives have lower access speeds.

Oh ok. Thanks. I think my speed is ok. I have a lot of connected devices so the speed isn't what it normally is. But it is stored on an external hard drive.

If you suspect your ISP: use a VPN, and run Speedtest. If it's still slow, you can blame your ISP. Otherwise it's something else.

Usually, sync speed is limited by hardware (HDD instead of SSD, not enough RAM, small dbcache or active disk swapping.

Hello BTC

So my node is currently 96.65% synced but the rate that it syncs up is slowing down. It is showing 2 weeks and it has taken a whole week to get where it is. In the past with previous node, it took maybe 1.5 day to go from initial block to fully synced. How do I determine if the ISP is blocking it? Also, is there a way to add more peers in the console? Every time it slows down syncing, I would restart the node. But even now it's slowing down a lot. My speed test is showing slower than usual although not at an abnormal rate and I do have a lot of connected devices. Currently showing Received at 7MB and Sent at 4kb with 3 peers. I don't have a bandwidth cap but I'm wondering if the ISP is up to something to slow it down. I do have other nodes operating too like the Bitcoin Machine etc.
