Is this thread only for buyers  Huh what about sellers protection ??

there is none with paypal. don't use it unless you accept the risk of losing that transaction's balance at any time for up to a year or more.

Not true... or so I just read. Consulting Google relating to another thread, I read about some people actually filing small claim judgements against people who do this. And in the case where you can prove they received the item, it becomes a criminal issue. How this would play out in the bitcoin world, IDK. Just thought I'd share in case people didn't know you could take this route.

Hello everyone,

I am new here and new to crytpocurrency, however I am a veteran on Ebay and using Paypal.  Been using both for over 12 years without any major issues.  Here are a few tips which could help from getting scammed:

1. Id say almost everyone has an Ebay account.  Ask if the person you're dealing with has an Ebay account. If so, message them on there to see if they reply. Also, check their feedback, make sure they have been on Ebay for at least a few years and with a good positive feedback history.  If everything looks good, then sending payment through Paypal should be ok.

2. Make your payment with Paypal but use a credit card, not your Paypal balance. If the trade does not go well and Paypal does not reverse it, you can go through your credit card to dispute it. This will give you double the protection.

Ok, that is all I can think of now. Hope no one gets scammed. Good luck!
